That's perfect for Dirty Dash! AAHHHH
The Special Forces TIE Fighter isn't a TIE Fighter (hugely disappointed in this ship), the TAP only has one usable pilot (even if he is good, the rest of the set isn't), the TIE/fo was good, the TIE Punisher is still useless (and should have been the Missile Boat anyways), the Raider was a $100 tax for the TIE Advance buff, the Decimator was okayish I guess, and the Defender was way overcosted. We're also laughably behind in Imperial Only crew and upgrades.
Hey now. The Inquisitor is a fine pilot option for the V1. He's not Valen Rudor, sure, but he is fine.
I'm thinking Ahsoka with VI, title, and Rec Spec might be fun.
She's probably better without vi, less to block her, and she can still roll as if ps 13 - the difference is firing order.
R2d2 shield upgrade ties will be funny
Actually an Imperial prototype X-wing would be neat. But all the pilots would need to be unique (since the Rebels got them, the prototypes were probably only in limited use, and following the theft of the ships the remaining units would have probably almost all been scrapped. One may have been turned into a static display, but otherwise they'd be scrapped). And it would have to have some mechanic that makes it potentially better than the T-65 but could backfire and turn it into an expensive Z-95.
you'd have to try real hard to justify it over the SF
which many people are already finding difficulty in justifying as is
basically, better have some sick pilot abilities
or imperial astromechs, eh?
So, how many do I want to buy? Four so I can have a Rebel tie party?
You only need two, as long as you don't mind running two of them with Imperial dials and models.
Have to wonder if Snap Shot will override Captured TIE or not? It is activated by their movement, not your decision to make them a target. And it usually will be triggered in a phase where Declare Target is not one of the steps. Given that it is being released on top of Sabine, I doubt this is the case, but as a simple country rules lawyer it does raise my eyebrow.
That being said, this ship just makes me cringe for some reason. It just seems to reek of blatant marketing when you take one of the most fragile fighters in the galaxy, add a FUNCTIONAL crew slot (that the Y-Wing and TIE/sf lack) based off of one scene from one episode where Zeb and Ezra just happened to wedge (lol) themselves into the same cockpit and fight over the controls, and put in a popular pilot who never even saw the fighter much less flew in it. It's like if Matt Ward were hired by FFG to produce a ship and he was a huge fanboi of Rebels.
This thing can potentially throw out more evade dice than any other ship in the game by using CD and SD. The Phantom sheds a tear as it is heavily outshone in the one area that it was specifically designed for.
It might be to power creep, but it seems that there's next to nothing that is connected to Rebels that isn't a special snowflake ship or pilot. Luke Skywalker shrugs his shoulders wondering why these guys allowed the Empire to exist for so long when they just needed to fly to Coruscant and walk into the Imperial Palace.
And while none of the Rebels ships are unbeatable, it does seem that there's a bit of a built in plot armor to the Rebels products that has a lower skill:success ratio than the game as a whole. Want a ship that can fly freely through Contracted Scouts and TLT Y-Wings in order to block, bomb, and troll to their hearts content? Look no further.
It just seems like Disney is making sure their creations have a spotlight coming onto the playing mat that isn't afforded to other ships.

Yes, absolutely, Kanan and Ezra can absolutely defeat Sidious, and The Ghost and her crew can TOTALLY take on the sodding entirety of Coruscant.
How did you know?
They can outfight helicopter light sabers.
Am I the only one dissapointed that you can't use this for Republic TIEs? I really do love the background for Adumar.
I would've liked it better if the ship also would get the unique-dot so you could only field one TIE in a rebel list.
Awful awful awful.... I don't mind that this ship is in the game but I do protest against how it has been implemented.
2 crew slots.. how on earth? I can't imagine how they can fit comfortably in that thing.
Not being able to be targeted and yet can fly around shooting off emps and the like?
I would had thought if this ship is blasting EMP's then it would had immediately blown your cover?
This ship is going to be an absolute menace, being able to float freely using BMST.
Edited by william1134Depends. A lot of the people you want to use Black Market Slicer Tools against are the elite aces....and Fenn Rau, Soontir Fel and Dengar will just go "cute paint job" and then kill you dead. It is very nice against the Inquisitor, but then the Inquisitor has been a go-to ace that's become almost more of an automative choice than soontir.
Countess Ryad.....doesn't actually need to stress herself. And with Pattern Analyser, there are now additional ways to pull advanced sensors/BB-8 tricks so you don't end your activation stressed.

Silly question, if I buy this set, can I field UNPAINTED classic Tie Fighters with the pilots?
Why not? People treat scum/rebel Y-wings, Z-95s and 'aces' and 'veterans' repaints as interchangeable.

No. Because you still choose whether to fire it or not - you aren't compelled to fire a snap shot at every ship that moves in your arc.Have to wonder if Snap Shot will override Captured TIE or not? It is activated by their movement, not your decision to make them a target.
Just ram it with a Deci ^^
If the ship just flys around giving out tokens, it seems a bit OP as it cannot be shot and just runs around getting in the way.
Rebel Manaroo!
I'm still on the fence, which illicit to use with Asoka. BMST seems obvious, but her high PS might be counterproductive since it gives most opponents the opportunity to get rid of stress first and also when you slice, you are not giving out actions to someone else.
EMP device is one use only.
Right now I am considering if Feedback Array would be good. Zapp yourself down to one hull, then just keep flying and giving out actions until the time comes where you either get a really good opportunity to shoot or zapp yourself again to kill of a high value target.

Good to hear, This would be the only way I would have bought this pack. Otherwise it would feel like a waste, similar to how you can only field a max of 4 Arc-170s, because there is no Common Pilot card for the ship. And buying more then one Arc feels like you arnt really getting any new useable Pilots, just the ship, because no mater what, you will never use more then one set's worth of pilot cards.
Whilst the Rex and Biggs combo is nice (I think someone even mentions a Rex, Biggs and Kanan combo), Rex ability applies the condition card when he shoots, which means that you are going to have at least one engagement where his ability isn't in affect due to his PS4, unless you are going against an old school PS1 - 3 swarm.
So you need to push him high enough to affect the targets you care about, such as Soontir, Whisper, Fenn, Dengar and that means you need Roark, otherwise, Rex just won't matter as much.
Also, his ability is auto, you MUST assign it, so no shooting your desired target and then running away. You need to be firing at that same target every consecutive turn which against the targets I mentioned above, isn't easy so I would suspect the condition card to be flying about quite a bit.
I think Rex will be annoying but not the boon that we think he will be. Sabine will be the diamond in this add on.

that is one round of shooting, an in the second round you can possibly get double use out of him. The ace you targeted last turn shoots first, then you fire at the palp shuttle behind him and gimp it's attack before it gets to shoot. Roark is really not worth bringing, especially since doing so would undercuts Rex's main advantage: his low cost. As someone else already said: don't support the supporter!

This is quite true, I was concentrating more on the initial engagement I guess.
I mean, my first list was going to be Roark, Rex, Biggs and Wes. Going back to the classic four ship Rebel.
2 crew slots.. so what?
One crew slot (and one illicit slot)

That is a pretty crappy Lambda replacement seeing how the generic is probably 29 points compared the the OGP's 21. The Lambda is mainly taken as support, but this will be too expensive to do that. The extra health and added dice don't matter so much if it is that expensive and meant to be mainly a support ship. You are taking this thing because it's got bulk and a BIG GUN. I'm hoping for a more combat-oriented ship with a slight edge towards support. As long as it has white turns, it is good in my book. FCS + PA as a base, then flavor with another tech, crew, and mods to taste.Given that theyve gone in order in the past, yeah next is the UPS Deliv- er i mean Bat Shuttle.
Both hopeful and disgruntled at that thing. Hopeful because its probably just going to be a lambda replacement. Disgruntled because its a lambda replacement lol
My favorite part about Ahsoka is that it doesn't specify another friendly ship meaning you can use her ability in herself allowing you to effectively take your action after all other ships have done so. Always focus with her then if you want barrel roll at the start of the combat phase. Definitely seems fun if nothing else.i think the illicit is the big winner in this reveal. Thats nasty. Dunno about putting it on a squishy TIE but thats naaaasty.
Asohka....why? Why keep giving a supporty ability on a nonsupport ship? Focus > action isnt bad persay (still kinda crap since its taking her action to give one while other forms of this dont via pilot abilities) but thats going to leave her squishy tie wide open for attack. I liked Asohka in Clone Wars....such a disappointing ability

Have to admit though the captured tie is funny. VI Asohka, only VI PS9 pilots would be able to stop her from delivering the EMP. Thats dope. Not at all meta breaking but thats still dope and funny.
Also...anybody notice that thing isnt unique? You can run 3 of these things (Zeb sadly wouldnt work) and torp scouts CANNOT shoot you until you have an awesome position. now THATS funny!
edit: Derp, nvm, its got the Unique dot on there.
since scouts are dead and regen can come out to play
Poe (ptl, pattern analyzer, autothrusters, r5p9, black one )
red ace (r2-d2, comm relay, integrated)
Ahsoka (VI, captured Tie, sabine's masterpiece , black market slicer tools or ion)
Edited by ficklegreendiceI don't watch Rebels and therefore don't know the backstory, but this TIE seems to be awesome!
I'll definitely get one and run it in some squads. But it makes me wonder the obvious question: why can't we get a new Imperial TIE with some fun abilities like this one? Fun!!!
