Now that we have the ARC-170, will we see the LAAT/i gunship?
I would love to see that ship in the game!

It's an awesome gunship, but a air to ground speciality ship isn't exactly worth bringing into the game.
I know next to nothing about either kids show, didn't know they did that.

Which is stupid to begin with.
I think that it's pretty much going to be the U-Wing. No reason why you couldn't get a sculpted model to act as a proxy though. Lord knows a lot of Assault Gunboat and TIE Avenger fans have had to make due that way.
The laat is probaly my favorite ship in Star Wars and one of the few few redeeming feature of the prequels. In the expanded universe laats were also used to board federation ships. However, as much as I love the ship I don't see FFG adding it. It's a stretch to bring it to the rebellion let alone using it in deep space.

Striker, Striker, Striker!
Heh. Striker.
The U-wing and Striker: it's a step in the right direction. They have the confidence to make slightly new ships now - maybe the next TFA trilogy movie will have ships that aren't the same old X-wings and TIEs as before?
And if they have the confidence to be really creative, maybe you'll get a ship as good as the LAAT-i?

A Wings?
this is what i think the LAAT/i should be
LAAT/I Gunship (Space Version):
3 firepower, 1 agility, 5 hull, 0 shields, Focus, Target Lock, Evade, Rockets, Torpedoes, Crew, Crew, Cannon, Cannon slots, has primary turret
and i think it should have this upgrade
Cannon Cannon: Bubble Laser Turret: May perform 2 primary weapon attacks each turn (maximum of one per target)
I would love that. Still hoping for a compatible ground assault game. AT-AT, speeders, maybe some ground troop groups (like the fighters are in Armada) and have compatible cards for bringing in the X-wings, TIEs etc.
Here's looking at you fantasy flight. I WOULD GIVE YOU LOTS OF MONEY!!!

You forgot the SLAM and Cloak.
Possible? Of course it is. However, FFG has a distinct unwillingness to bring in ships from the prequel trilogy. The ARC-170 slipped in because the Rebels used a few of them. Even so, it would be very easy to have a LAAT/i gunship fulfill a unique role in the game:
LAAT/i Generic: (25 points)
2 ATT
2 AGI
4 HULL
4 SHIELDS
[Focus, Target Lock, Evade]
[Missile, Cannon, Cannon, Crew, Crew]
Here's the key: give it no forward firing arc, but both side arcs to treat as primary arcs. This makes it into a literal gunship with a unique role on the table, with the ability to utilise cannons to their potential.

Indeed. It specifically popped up in the Rebels TV show (admittedly as a derelict in a storehouse, but still).

Well - it'd still need a forward arc, but it would want to be a missile-restricted one (akin to the torpedo-restricted one on the Ghost) - that way you've got missiles forwards (which we see them use a few times) but primaries to the side. I'm not sure if I'd be happy with cannons to the side - the idea of broadside heavy laser cannons seems a bit hefty for those bubble turrets. You could always allow access to a more limited cannon selection - make the cannon slot provided by a refit (title or modification) which adds a cannon slot but points-limits your choices.
Being able to fire out of both broadsides (much like special forces training) would be nice.
Evade......eh, why not. It still bugs me that the agility 0 ghost has it, but precedent set.
Other thing to note:
The Gunship does have chin turrets as well as its bubble turrets. It should probably get a forward primary attack. For that matter, the space-modified gunship pictured doesn't actually have bubble turrets, carrying spotlights instead.
