First campaign in the books

By gndmgp01, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

After a year of playing, my group has completed an entire campaign. An epic force showdown ended with the big bad guy dead and the PCs paving the way for Luke Skywalker to lead the jedi to their return. Now that we're wiser and more experienced (yep, I went there), my group is eager to start another campaign with fresh characters.

May the triumph be with you.

I would like to know more details.

A year of playing... How often, and how long did the sessions go?

What were the PCs, and did any of them buy the moisture farm during the campaign?

How many different adventures/stories were there? How many of those directly tied into the main story of the campaign?

Did the campaign all take place in a limited area such as one system or one sector?

Well, I'm honored you're curious. My group is a very casual group, we try to meet as often as we can but all together we've only played about 16 different sessions that lasted anywhere from 3 hours to 6 hours.

We started with the Force and Destiny core rules, and added Duty in later. The group was working for the Rebellion anyway, so that just amped up the fun for everyone. The group consisted of a Cerean, Mirialan, Zabrak, Bothan, Twi'lek, and Nautolan. Nobody perished, despite several attempts by the Force Master (never called it game master. We felt there was a missed opportunity there). There was a time that 3 PC's died, but that was in a Force vision.

All of the sessions that we played moved the group closer to completing the main arc. The main arc was to dismantle the Inquisitorius. After finding out that the Imperial Officer in charge of the Inquisitors was a) Force-Sensitive and b) Plotting to overthrow Palpatine and rule the universe instead, the group went off and killed him.

The group flew all over the place. They'd be on Tatooine one session, Bothuwai another, and Korriban the next.

The group of players are interested in continuing play, but I believe I've convinced them to move on to create new characters and begin new adventures. We're keeping our old characters in the folder to revisit in the future sometime. Maybe when Ghosts of Dathomir comes out.

How high of a level did they get to?

Sorry for the late reply, it's been a busy week. The short and true answer to your question Tramp Graphics is I don't know. My group and I both started out new to the system and RPG's in general, so I expected the players to keep track of the player things (like XP) and for the first several sessions they didn't. Also, since I knew that we wouldn't get to play much I awarded lots of XP to make them feel like the little amount that we got to play was meaningful. My best guess is they had around 600-700 earned XP. It was still hilarious, because they'd still complain that they weren't powerful enough to beat up the Inquisitor they kept fighting. Ultimately, they decided not to fight him in a lightsaber duel but rather to bomb the space station he was on into submission and then use their quad laser cannons to blow his escape pod to smithereens.
