Hey FFG.....my desk at work....it has every Imperial ship you've released. My boss came into my cube and asked me a serious question:
"Where is the super star destroyer."
So yeah Brah.....I need my pimped out Palp ride.

For your request to be valid, it should increase the SSD thread. Which version do you want?
I know the thread exists....but I felt like making a new one....for when FFG in their Tie Phantom's (because they never post just lurk) catches this in their search program...they will see the hype.
Hopefully we get one soon. It'll look beautifully as the centerpiece of my collection
It will rule the cube world nebula at work.
Still wouldn't want the Executor in Armada for a number of reasons. It's not about "want" it's about the Game.
For more go see the 61+ pages of this discussion.
Oh joy, another SSD discussion. Let me go get my popcorn ![]()
Want it, the game needs it& it is inevitable! Just to get one of the many voices from the opposite side of the fence as Beatty.

It is inevitable. It's one of the only ships from the original trilogy still not in this game. We will get it, but it will be on FFG's terms. Which will basically be:
Star Wars Rebels will show us a prototype MC80 that is the same size as a SSD but it will get blown up in the second part of that 2 part episode, which will explain why its never been seen again.
Then we will get the SSD and the new Rebel counterpart from Rebels. They will be similar to Mels Minitaures in size and we will get something like X-Wings epic play. Epic play is 300 instead of 100? So to play with an SSD will be a 1200 point game with the SSD taking up a good 500 of those points and 6 hours of your life to play.
Edited by TelochIf they release it, it's going to cost hundreds and have a couple of bits that snap off the moment you look at it......meaning you will be to scared to actually use it.
Nah, just retcon the retcon to return the SSD to its 5x-an-ISD length. Then we can have an Epic-sized SSD in Armada.

Well there was the Viscont Star Defender, but that is just another blob of a ship. Rebels could get a Mandator since they were made for the Republic. Easy enough to say the earlier models were decommisioned and the Rebels captured it.

That would be BS...
Even in the movies you can see a SSD is ~10x ISD length.

Armada uses a sliding scale. The CR90 should fit inside the hanger of the ISD but it doesn't.

Even then it had to be 2,5x the size of the X-Wing CR90 modell or it would look to flimsy. Remember the SSD ist pretty thin compared to its length.

I get what your saying. I reported all your posts so they HAVE to see this.

I've put my x wing raider on the table for comparison, and I think an Armada SSD that size would be fine.
Exactly. Relative scale is fine. It just needs to seem huge in relation to an ISD, not be the precise order of magnitude huge.
For me I already have a SSD thanks to Mel's Miniatures so I'm quite content.

Yes, the growing SSD, and the shrinking Home One.
My two least favorite retcons.

Who says FFG won't reinforce the model with crosslinking bars? Having them make a solid model isn't a big deal. And I doubt you will get a model more than three times the length of the ISD because that model and package would be so freaking big. Look at the AT-AT mini from WotC. It's 15x5x18 inches, and it cost $100.

I wasn't talking about the stability. I said it would look flimsy. An SSD has other proportions than an ISD.
Look: On top is the correct scale of an ISD to an SSD.
On the Bottom I have scaled the SSD to 2x and 3x the length of the ISD. And there is the Problem: The engines, the bridge tower, the thickness; all of this breaks the suspension of a nearly fitting scale.

Seeing the pictures in scale like that...
Has convinced me that having a SSD 3x the length of an ISD would be just fine for me. ![]()

And? I'll go back to saying the corvette does not fit into the hanger bay of the ISD. From your point of view, the bridge on the CR90 is way to big, and yet it is still in the game. None of the ships we have correlate to one another. The MC80 pickle is suppsoed to be 3/4 the size of an ISD. This is not X-Wing where the epic game is the same scale as the normal one.
