Uh ... yes. It's a very good card. It will take some thought to use to its full extent, so some people will definitely not see the potential.

Considering you can spend a focus even if you have no eyes to convert, thats "almost" as good as Wes just flatout going "that focus is gone". Lots of times ive fired at someone and they opted to take 1 damage and save the focus for the real heavy hitter that hasnt shot yet.

Almost said Dengar + Trickshot would be awesome, but then i realized Dengar would technically counter out Trickshot lol

Party Bus has a new way to burn through the token stacks. Though I wish it was a little more clear on timing.

What timing? They have to spend a focus, meaning when they would normally spend it on their dice when defending or attacking they spend it whether they want to or not (benefits from it or not). Timing would be an issue if it was remove a focus

Sensor Jammers, juke, etc timing is relevant. Though timing should be right after rolling, before regular modifications. Which means you can burn the focus, than force the juke and leave them without focus against that. Han with Juke becomes an option now. ^-^

There are some very good 5-7 PS pilots wandering around in the meta right now. And Echo especially is the one I can see not needing it, because she can get out of many arcs.

In any case, the card pretty clearly says "...if able"

Presumably that's to cover cases where the other ship has no focus tokens at all - but a situation where they have focus tokens that are "locked down" (by, say, Carnor) would also seem to trigger that caveat.

Was actually hoping the generic falcon would have the poorer stats, there's only one falcon, the generic is a bog standard old freighter and should have worse stats but got a huge price reduction

So, ORS? Funny thing, ORS might actually be nice to keep in the tool kit due to those very reasons. Add in a Smuggling Compartment with some tricks, Jammer and/or APL's to it's 27 pt base and I see some fun times ahead. Not meta or anything but fun to fly around.

Did anyone else notice that Hot Shot Co-Pilot is somewhat countered by the first few tech upgrades? With Weapons Guidance and Sensor Cluster you at least have something to use your focus token on. Maybe FFG is trying to rescue these upgrades from the trash pile. It's more likely they secretly hate R5-P9 on Poe and want you to use BB-8 but just a thought.

Yes, they do. All copilot does is FORCE the opponent to spend their focus token normally. If they don't have a focus token, it does nothing.

why would you want copilot and sensor jammer?

its not a remove the focus, they are forced to spend it. jammer is literally wasted unless they didnt have a focus to begin with, in which case copilot is pointless.

I think the assumption is that Whisper is shooting 1st which spends the token and so guaranteeing the effectively free evade from sensor jammer... since otherwise Whisper is dead without the ACD cloak anyways...

This. Whisper shoots first forcing the focus to be spent, meaning she always gets the SJ jammer against the target. It also helps against gunner(which all glass cannons hate). The ship with gunner always wastes its focus on the first shot, so the second will not have a focus even if it comes up with 4 eyes. It just so happens whisper+Palp+OL come to 100 points. Copilot also helps out OL for the same reasons.

I dont know how completely out of left field this is, but you made me think.... Dangerous I know, and I believe you are the first to mention it, FFG are making Opportunist a thing again. It was an expensive EPT that had too many caveats to work. But with Teroch, it could get some revival.
