What sort of expansion wouldn't you dare hope for?

It could also be that "At the Printer" is "At the Printer", but the "Printer" in this case is the FFG Inhouse Manufacturing, which means it would go almost straight from "At the Printer" to "Shipping now."

...

There.

It cannot be said that I don't have effin' hope.

And that too shall likely be crushed.

Unless you know something. Does FFG have inhouse mass printing capability? Do they inhouse any of their games, or do they mostly outsource it to China? A brief eyeball sampling at the FLGS that I'm currently haunting has all their products saying 'made in China', including those that have no miniature model components.

Yes, they do.

FFG has an Inhouse mass printing capability large enough that they themselves advertise that they can do said printing for OTHER people, in large amounts.

All Alt-Art Cards are produced in House, for example...

Rest is behind the Retailer LoginWall.

Huh...

Okay, so it sounds like it's a question of how many CC kits they plan on selling. The more they plan to produce, the more likely 'the Printer' is going to be in China; the fewer, the more likely it's going to be at a smaller scale and therefore less cost-ineffective to outsource it.

Honestly, my guess is that they are projecting sufficient demand that it's going to be a mass production happening in China. But, that's just a guess on my part.

Oh, I totally agree.

I was just listing a ball-shot hope to keep the flames alive.

WE ARE TOLD THAT REBELLIONS ARE BUILT ON HOPE, AFTER ALL!

Your hope is walking into a trap. As is your Rebel fleet!

It was I who allowed the Alliance to believe that the Corellian Conflict would be available in the near-term. It is quite safe from your pitiful little hands. An entire legion of my Chinese workers is printing them.

Oh...I'm afraid 'The Boat' will be quite slow when your friends want to start playing.

More Refit for more variety. More titles .

Thats actually possible with the campaigns. ffg can simply say that some of these refits were local to the respective system in conflict and add it to the campaign for "theme and flavour"

They didn't for corelian conflict and I'm mad.

As far as we know.

I doubt that the different systems/planets will have specific upgrades, but it does sound as if there will be some particular missions/capabilities in each/most of the different systems in the CC. I trust that it will be pretty cool when we learn what it's going to be.

Obviously, we're all going to have a few things that we will have wished they would have done more to scratch each of our specific itches, but they need to make something that will work for most of the people most of the time.

Death Star expansion. It would be too big

Death Star expansion. It would be too big

Don't we already have a mat with the Death Star on it? Just print up some cards or something for it and bam!

There are ideas for expansions that many of us have, that will probably never see the light of day. Either the ship is too obscure, or big; the faction too hated, or your entire concept too bizarre for FFG to ever fathom making it for a mass audience.

Which off-the-wall idea is yours?

Mine is expansions of civilian ships with new (tournament-legal) objectives. I'm thinking of vessels like the BFF-1 bulk freighter or Action VI transport, which - like the flotillas - doesn't really have armament. The objectives could be about the first player destroying/capturing such vessels, which are placed somewhere in the middle, but controlled by the second player.

Another idea would involve pirates.

I don't think they'll ever do such a thing.

But I still think it would be cool.

Anything based exclusively on Legends books, especially the X-Wing series.

XG-1 Assault boat just to stick it to the Xwing guys more.

Hehehe.

You guys probably think the same about my idea, but - honestly - your ideas suck. :P

No wonder FFG won't make these things.

XG-1 Assault boat just to stick it to the Xwing guys more.

XG-1 Assault Gunship AND the Missile Boat, just to hear their howls of outrage :D

We have two!
