Squad Deployment Tracker board

By draconics, in Imperial Assault Skirmish

I made this squad deployment board to make it easier to track individual figures damage and status effects. I've had this idea for a while and was using the same basic layout during the store champs and regional earlier this year, just didn't have the actual board. Obviously, it does have a lot of design similarities as the damage tracker boards, but a bit more flair.

It has an area for the deployment card to sit when it is ready and exhausted. There are spaces for up to three of the colored numbers to help identify up to 3 different figures and an area to place damage or status tokens.

I have attached three pictures, one showing the board empty, one showing the board with a Stormtrooper with the numbers in place, and one with the deployment card exhausted.

This is just the first prototype. Let me know what you think, and if there is any modifications I should make.

I like it. Have you thought about a spot to put deployment card attachments? Also, it would be awesome if the separate tracker boards could attach to each other and be easily transported from table to table during a tournament. I had made one and used it in tournaments and it worked great, but it wasn't easily transportable to destination tournaments (Origins, Gencon, Worlds). P.S. don't judge me by that list...that was made just for fun.

I really like it! I put something similar together myself, but it was made with a large-sized top-loader and some printed paper, rather than this material that you've got...by the way, what is it made out of? I think your looks easy to use, and I think the indented spots for the tokens/dmg markers is a really great way to go.

Personally, I use the Activation Tokens (4 of them in the Core Set and they're rather inexpensive on eBay too) rather than rotating my Deployment Cards, so if I had a recommendation it would be to leave the cards upright, which will save you space--both on the gaming table and also with the material that these things are made from.

Regardless, I always give much respect to an opponent who has built his own organization/storage system. I've found that having a user-friendly system of organizing your stuff is incredibly valuable: it helps you to remember certain effects or abilities, and, just as importantly, it also saves you mental energy because you don't have to go digging for stuff midway through a match.

I don't currently have plans for a spot for an attachment since this is about the limit size wise as I want to do. Making them so that they can attach to each other might be a bit beyond my skill set, but they should stack very nicely.

I recently acquired a 3d printer, and this was my first attempt at printing my own design. It is made out of PLA plastic.

I like the idea of using the Activation tokens. I'm glad ng to play around with my design and see which works better for me.
