Do people know that there are deck boxes out there with token compartments in the bottom?
You still have to dump them out and clean them up between every round! lol

The game could have a million different tokens with it. If I find the game fun, balanced, and mechanically sound, I will be all over it.
And likewise the game could have zero tokens with it, and if the above is true I'll be all over it as well.
Jesus at this point Sparks sounds like someone from the black and white world of "before" in infomercials. When he "spills" his tokens and they go "flying" everywhere.
Then he has to clean them up, but don't you hate it when you just can't find every single one?
This has to be a joke.
Instead of an LCG, they should make a Collectible Token Game.

To be perfectly honest, card ARE tokens. So every tcg/ccg/ecg/lcg are collectable tokens.
On a less pedantic note, they did: Pogs

For me, personally, I think this is the biggest difference between your starting point and mine. You're looking at taking tokens to tournaments and having to manage them while shuffling tables, whereas those of us who avoid tournaments don't really have that particular problem.
Also, tokens are just plain fun to use! Sure, there are other ways of keeping track of stats, but there's just something enjoyable about seeing stacks of tokens piled on top of cards!

Plus, depending on the size and shape of the token you an throw them at people... A lucky shot could win you a tournament.

Or get you ejected! haha

As a matter of opinion.... not really.
Might just be my RPG habits, but I vastly prefer using a pad of paper and a pencil. Tokens are fiddly, they get lost in the shuffle (once had a rather rotund gentleman's hip strike the table I was playing at as he tried to squeeze through to where his friends were. My Force tokens went everywhere) ....not a fan.
Any way to keeping track of the game can be 'fiddy' in their own ways. I've used pads for years with card games like MtG and usually for miniature games (looking at you Armada!) and I rather not use them for this one. Wait. Just years? I meant decades.
Now that I think about, if FFG could, I'd like for them to try and minimize tokens for other components. Please just make something like this
No, it doesn't have to be an counter for honor nor does it have to be made out of a non-card board material in the core. Just something really cool that they can push out at a later date. You know, like the faction dials for X Wing.
Yes, I know it's just the face plate but you know what I'm talking about. And yes, I know it's a ninja plate.
If counting honor is still a thing, and it goes high enough to warrant a spinner instead of tokens, I guarantee 2 spinners will be in the box.
See also, the Star Wars death star dial and LotR threat dial. Also, I guess, the Conquest secret deployment dial.
And Armada, Imperial Assault, Rune Wars, etc. Seems like a decent chance for some type of spinner/dial. Heck, the armada dial just has four values on it.

Yeah, they'll definitely include spinners if a mechaninc warrants it, whether in the Core Set or in deluxe expansions. Both SW and Conquest also added dials in expansions. SW had one for multiplayer (replacing the Core Set dial - going higher); Conquest had one in each big expansion related to the new faction: a replacement for Tyranids (since they have a Synapse to commit in addition to their Warlord), an addition for Necrons.
Okey, I won't make any argument in favor of tokens, because there has been a lot of them, they are very good and I don't express myself as good in English as I'd like. But I do have something to say against the argument of "lugging tokens" or tokens being obnoxious.
I've been playing SWLCG for more or less 4 years now and not a single time have I lost a token or I've seen anyone fumble and spreading them all in chaos. I'm probably the worst of my community at handling token storage because I carry them all in a tiny R2D2 box, but it just takes me like 15-20 seconds to put them back in the box (which, btw it can fit in my hand). So, I'm okey if you don't like them, but it is not that difficult to carry them, maybe you just go to torunaments with your deck in your pocket, but everyone else I know from all the card games I have played carries a backpack or a bag or something be it a game with tokens or not. I myself carry one with a bottle of water, a notebook, a playmat... Bringing a little box with tokens is not a real issue. And again, it's fine if it is for you, but don't make it seem like is the great big deal.
I don't like to fall in ad hominems, but you told another player to practice his/her memory because it is not that difficult in a very rude way (okey, you later apologized, and I think is very positive that you did), but I could say the same about spreading all the tokens or tripping and getting all the tokens or the ground... maybe you should practice your coordination skills? I know you probably don't have that problem, but it's just like how it sounded when you said that.
I'm sorry for my english or if anyone gets offended, not my intention.
PS: Heck, I do love tokens and I hope we have many mechanics that use them.
