The setting: A late Summer Kit Tournament, 20 players, tuesday night, we finished so late and top 4 is next week.. O: crazy stuff.

Can't say much about this match up honestly, 100-0. I deployed in the middle-ish, his YV was also center and his Shadowcaster in a corner.
He went way too forward as I also went full straight ahead (all 3... not wanting to stress my HWK or ARC.. lol) which made the first round of shooting on turn 2 and then I was behind the YV and it died and then I chased the Shadowcaster and it died. The End. I only offered him a single ship as a good target to follow/attack: Miranda, of course she played her role as a regen tank. Never worried about losing her. My HWK had gone into bump mode right away with his YV and shadowcaster both going the same direction so it wasnt hard to stay behind after that and Norra followed the Shadowcaster after finishing off the YV. Opponent's mistake was to go way too fast right away.

I hadn't noticed he had Stealth Device instead of Autothrusters.. it was an odd decision and I think he'll get autothrusters next time.
First up I went too slow with Miranda so the first round of shooting went like this:

Well ****. What a start!
However after that my Norra went HAM and outmaneuvered Fenn Rau (I think mostly because of no PTL for boost/barrel combos but even then, my BB8 shenanigans are hard to cover entirely and its easy to get behind Fenn that way, plus the Talon Roll is easy to block when you expect it) while my HWK drifted slowly and did its TLT business as normal completely untouched for the entire game except on last turn where I finished Fenn with it and took a point or two of dmg? was at range 2 ;D . At one point I almost managed to block Fenn from staying on the board with a Hard 2 since we had both maneuvered close to the corner of the map. Wish that had happened but anyway Norra + TLT HWK killed the entire list. RIP Miranda.

I decided to go for the joust, or at least, that's what I told my opponent. He setup on his right, I setup on my left, I went forward quite a bit and managed to block and confound his Defenders a lot, he played very well but I made it so his Defenders either couldn't Kturn as he wanted or knew where he was going and just avoided them. The first engagement was against defenders, I removed one shield on Ryad and he daamged the HWK, but then I started my shenanigans to skip him ahead since he wasn't gonna Kturn right away and went for the shuttle immediately. I did one mistake with my Norra which bumped the shuttle on the turn I should've killed it, which cost me to have Miranda at 2 hulls left - I lost the HWK previously which I was ok with. So Shuttle at 1 hull, Norra behind the shuttle but not the right way - thank you back arc, and the HWK dead. Defenders are both in great condition and going to try to finish Miranda. I wish I'd take the time to show you the exact positions but lets just say that the Shuttle did a straight 1, allowing Miranda to hop in FRONT of the shuttle with a Hard 2 toward where I started and both defenders were now facing their own starting side but had no arc on Miranda, perfectly executed on my part, Miranda shot down the shuttle and Norra now had to turn around to chase the Defenders. He took the bait, or I guess it was a no brainer to Kturn to take down Miranda on 2 hulls so I 3-slammed far away then proceeded to elude him with hard 2s going back toward his defenders so that his arcs would go passed my position, allowing me to regen here and there while Norra was coming back and when she did, oh boy. Vessery went down hard at range 1 to a nice roll resulting in 4 hits 1 crit from Norra, always nice to see it happen, lil 2 attack ship going up to 5 dice.,.. ![]()
After that Miranda stayed alive and I believe time was called before I could kill Ryad and it finished something like 65-26.
That was hard work with Miranda to juke him at his own game ;D but it paid off.
So far in 3 games I lost 2 ships.. Pretty good stuff!
4th opponent:

Ryad - x7, PTL, MkII engine
Deathfire - Conners, Homing, Extra Munitions, LRS .. I think that was it?
Oh ****, that was going to be dangerous especially if I faced all 3 in front. I have to say my BB8 pulled its weight in maneuvring myself as safely as I could away from the bomber, as I got TL'd right off the bat on turn 1 by that bomber, had to play it safe and safe I played it. I'll say right now that Norra finished the game on 1 hull, having 3 crits on her as well. It was scary! Those conner nets also caused a lot of trouble but one of those actually turned out to take Ryad out of the game entirely, not by dropping it on her, but because he dropped it on my HWK, Ryad k-turned to take down the HWK, dealing a lot of dmg to it while the bomber + vader were trying to take down Norra (and Miranda got ignored entirely,
). So Ryad k-turned, dealt dmg to my HWK but then I seriously blocked Ryad for 6 straight turns with that HWK he wanted to finish off. At one point he was considering disengaging and going elsewhere but committed in the end because otherwise that TLT would've done damage.
Vader was taken down by a lucky Range 1 shot by Norra - no modifiers, -1 Red from crit, so 3 dice: hit hit crit (thank you lucky roll) and he blanked his greens, only an evade token to help him and having received 3 dmg from Miranda TLT or Primary turret attack in previous turns. Bomber had died or was to die right after that on 1 hull, I forget which died first.
Ryad stayed alive due to time being called when Miranda got in range of her and my HWK was almost going to attack too haha.
MVP HWK for keeping Ryad completely confounded.
While it was a critical mistake on his part, it was also because I had guessed his maneuvers on the spot and was going the right direction.

So the standings came out:
Me 1st (the only 4-0 out of the 20 players, but we have to do Top 4, oh well!
)
2nd is someone I didnt play against (2 Z95s with slicers, Torkhil Mux with TLT and not sure what else, Asajj tricked out as usual to be annoying)
3rd is my last opponent: Vader, Ryad, Deathfire
4th is the one with Palpshuttle + 2 defenders
This means that they only lost to me and won big against everyone else they played.
So next week I'm facing Palpshuttle + defenders again. It will be interesting to see how we both adapt to this rematch - I might have a much harder time coming out on top, but I hope I win it and then win the final!
