Just figuring I would see if anyone around here was in the So.Cal area (I am Orange County), and knew of a launch party, any local distributors planning on stocking Destiny, or of any game groups that are planning on supporting this game that I could swing by and participate in from time to time.

If you are in the LA/Orange County area and don't know any of these things, still feel free to chip in so I can see who on the forums is a local and maybe down the line we could find a time for a match or two.

Happy to see another SoCal player. We have a decent group of FFG LCG players that will be playing SW Destiny. I know It's Game Time will be having an event on Saturday at noon. I'm sure many others will be as well. There is also a Socal Destiny Reddit group that you might want to join.

We're up in the High Desert (Victorville-Apple Valley-Hesperia, about 45 mins south of Barstow), but we're actually doing TWO launch events on Sat, Nov 19th. We're also playing everything else SW that day, costume contest, raffles... man, it's gonna be crazy fun. We'd love for ya to come up!

And thanks for the invite to the high desert area group! Sounds like you guys are my kinda bunch so I might stop by. I just realized this event was on the 19th (for some reason I thought it was the 11th? Am I going crazy?) and currently I am scheduled to be participating in the Armada regionals in AZ on that day. If that is the pre-launch weekend then it looks like I will miss out, and or have to catch something out in AZ in between games of Armada.

Also, can anyone post a link to the SW:D so cal reddit? Google Fu didn't turn anything up.

I'm in Venice so not exactly neighbors, but please reach out to me for the occasional Sunday afternoon gaming. I have a good collection of games besides.

Comic Hero University in Fullerton is planning on having a release event when the game actually releases. This will be an actual tournament in addition to the prerelease party held before the game release.

I went to college in Fullerton, but never heard of the shop. Is it new? Pretty cool place? Definitely going to swing by after work soon and check it out.

The shop has been there a couple years, its in the train station. They are also taking preorders so you can do that while youre there too.
