How many and what monsters in core rules?

By mista_loco2, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Might seem like a strange question, but it does have some impact on how i'm going to be starting my campaign.

So while I'm waiting for the box to make it's way to me, how many monsters are there, and if they aren't that many, what monsters are there in the core rules?

Thanks for any help!

33 monsters - some are generic enough to be versatile (6 of the monsters will cover 80% of your human NPCs).

The monsters are very flexible and easily modified.

The core rules seem a bit light on published adversaries. I like the framework they establish, but they additional supplements to round out the bestiary.

And hopefully cards with the monster info on. Don't have the game as yet (waiting, waiting on the mail ...) but as I understand it they are currently one of the few things you need to look up in the rules?

Yes, the monsters should be on cards to fit with the format of other game components. The current monster layout would work quite well on cards, so FFG has set things up nicely if they want to move in that direction.
