Good. They seem to be happy to answer or clarify email questions when they've been spending time working on the FAQ.

Because things not being activated can not move, period.
And since they are being activated they can fire, since that is the normal procedure and nothing tells them they cant.

You can move without being Activated, during that ship activation.
Via Fighter Coordination Team, for example.

This is the thing that kind of puzzles me. I'm on team orange, myself, but isn't it sufficient to just say "hey, I disagree about this thing but otherwise we cool" and move on with life? Why be so nasty about it?

During which activation? This squadron activation, or this ship activation?

But if it means this ship activation, if you activated the squadron even separately from the action of placing the squadron would the squadron activation count as a subset of the greater ship activation and therefore still not be allowed to move?

What I mean is that the card can be read both ways, and that's why it's in question. Which is why we're waiting on an FAQ. There is no further need to argue this here, and I apologize to any others who think I am trying to restart this argument.
There is thread about this crap in the rules forum. Go use that.

Eventually, the Armada forum will become a singularity, where all topics are collapsed into one megathread about the latest pedantic rules question.
I'd like to point out that the answer to everything is 42. And that 73 is the best number.
I predict that we'll have 4273 posts related to RLB before we get a FAQ.
