No official word from FFG about whether or not they'll be giving a FAQ about CC.
I saw a thread on Reddit, someone stated their friend is a play tester and the faq is coming with wave VI and they are busy playtesting flotilla changes.
Well, if that's the case, their friend isn't likely a playtester anymore. Since they just violated an NDA.

FFG is known to make substantial changes to overall game mechanics right?
I could totally envision them doing something to address flotillas/activations.

I dunno, a 100 point mini game on a 3x3 you can completed in an hour sounds exactly like what Armada OP has been trying to find...

That **** is cancerous....flotilla's are becoming a bit of a problem when guys can cram in two to three or four and basically make it so your ISD or MC80 is almost guarenteed to be caught with it's pants down. Throw in relay and you're almost surely not going to be threatened....it's a gimmick that could use a nurf bat, I also think the lifeboat BS needs to stop as well.
I mean I get it, they are "a representation of a bunch of transports" but I wasn't thrilled when they became the most cost effective at pushing squadrons than actual carriers.
I think it's worth a look at.

I've wanted to do this with Risk and Stratigo for years. No-one seems to have the twenty years required to pull it off, though.

I've got an all-flotilla list I keep wanting to run. Interdictor flagship with G-8 and Ozzel, 3x Gozani Assault with Flight Commander, BCC and EHB, and 14 T/B.
No idea how well it would run, but it sounds like great fun. Maybe swap something out, and take Grand Moff Token instead, for even more fighter activations.

Heh. If I could get players interested and sufficiently invested, I'd create a campaign where you switched between Armada and Imperial Assault. For Corellian Conflict, as an example, you'd attack on the galactic map, then you could attempt to get additional VPs or special abilities by winning the IA match as well.
Basically like Star Wars: Queen's Gambit, which was a great game even though it was based on Episode 1...?
