But testing that change doesn't preclude the possibility of an interim FAQ on all the obvious questions while they work on said errata.
Yes, a second FAQ does mean more work for the Graphic Design/Publishing department or whatever they call it. But, really, how much more? It is really worth this kind of disruption in community relations to save four designer man-hours?
I say again, FAQ queue two!

19 pages about how infrequently we get FAQed by the entity we spend so much of our disposable income on... This is not doing anything positive for the reputation of tabletop gamers. ![]()

Too early to make this claim. It's pretty obvious they are doing things and changing rules for Armada and all their other games. And technically we are still ahead for the 6 month deadline, which is when FAQs normally come out. If we don't get one in April, then you can start to worry. But they just updated the Tournament Regulations, and that goes hand-in-hand with the FAQ.

RDB should have had errata 2 weeks before Wave5 was released. FFG needs to change their FAQ policy or they will lose customers. This has been happening with at least one card every wave and we have to wait 6 months to use them? Not acceptable.
False

O you must be referring to the article that states the following games have an updated tourny doc and FAQ, Armada being one of them. The same article that states the following changes went into effect Jan 27 2017.....

I think its too early to make this claim.
Because I'm pretty sure that, for example, X-Wing has a team still working on its QA. IA has a team working on its QA.
Armada has Mr. Gernes, who is also producer for Armada.
It may simply be a lack of manpower-hours to be devoted, and nothing else.

I agree that that's a more likely reason.
Which is not to say this isn't a problem. It is a very significant problem. It just lies a little higher than Señor Gernes' level.

I was referring to the change in the TR. Which no one is able to see why the change was made or what it's supposed to actually do. It could be very significant, or not at all. Regardless, it is a change.
To my knowledge, there is nothing game-breaking that needs to be FAQed ASAP (I could be wrong). Other FAQs might enhance the game experience, but there is also probably a lack of urgency from the game designers' perspective.

The truth is you are probably right. What we need is the answer to many minor things. (I'd say a lot of CC questions.)
The game is in a really great place, and we are so desperate for news, that a couple of sentences about placing squadrons in the Tourney document whips us up into a frenzy.

For the most part, there's only 1 or 2 things that certainly need a clarification - just so us TO's are not lynched by mobs.
Rapid Launch Bays and its corresponding 20+ pages of discussion is probably #1 for me.
It doesn't matter which side of the argument you are on (or even if you're on a side at all) - if there is literally 20 pages of back-and-forth discussion, a Clarification is NEEDED... No matter how zealous you may appear to be... If you were going to be right, you'd be right with a convincing argument in far fewer pages.
Is it absolutely game breaking in the meantime? No, but that being said, its also not being taken by a vast majority of otherwise interested people, because they are also afraid of being lynched by mobs for making an assumption.
We've also been harangued and abused to deal by trying to come to conclusions - because that's "Something that needs to be handled by FFG", and its "not theplace of anyone else to do so."
- and they're not.
So what do we do?
I want an official answer for Snipe. That's all I really care about.
