There are some people who seem to like to argue "devil's advocate" style interpretations of the rules that have only the shoddiest actual evidence seemingly just to mess with @Drasnighta, often while hiding behind the "we need to be fair to every possible way to interpret it!" argument. When done to a lesser degree in good faith about rules questions that are more unclear I think it's pretty helpful to kind of suss out exactly what we're dealing with and the parameters of the problem. When done too much and in bad faith, it just comes across as antagonistic (to me, anyways).
Also, 99 days without an FAQ would seem to me to indicate that we might be getting some errata with our FAQ. The rules issues at this point are pretty well-understood and could be answered within a day or two of directed work. If they're play-testing errata, however, then it would take longer...
A tournament update? A FAQ for every SW game just about* BUT Armada? What the FAQ, indeed.
*Destiny seems like the other exception

I'm hopeful this is the case. Although I still don't see things as being so broken that the game needs a big errata.
I'm more of the belief Armada is just the smoothest game for FFG right now. Both XWing and IA went through some huge rule changes in the last 4 months. I think we're just on the lower end of the "must make changes for game health" scale.

X-Wing's meta literally got wiped out, except for one build, that became what it always should've been.
we almost had a FAQ update you guys!
"Lol, let's see what they do if we update the FAQ for every other game but them!"

LOOK AT THEM FANCY GAMES WITH 2017 UPDATED FAQS

This just went from dubious level to ridiculous level.
Maybe FFG is trying to push us to be more independent and interpret the rules for ourselves instead of depending on them to do it for us. Maybe this is what we need. Armada is the big, more complicated brother to the other games. We are more mature, so we don't need constant supervision.
Or maybe Armada is dead and this is FFG attempting to smother us with a pillow. Some sh*tty, weird squad measuring rule that makes no sense. No FAQ for wave 5 and we already have FAQ content for wave 6.
I'm calling it now! Will get the FAQ this afternoon, and my workload will be too heavy to read it after an entire week of slowness. LOL!
I am sniggering about the idea that there is an order in which updates are released for FFG games, and that it might be called the 'FAQ queue'

No, no. They have two FAQ lists.
Armada is on the second delayed list, AKA, FAQ queue two.
The Q2 FAQ?

It is to laugh.
It's very unprofessional of FFG to not immediately address obvious problems that keep cards like RDB from being used. RDB should have had errata 2 weeks before Wave5 was released. FFG needs to change their FAQ policy or they will lose customers. This has been happening with at least one card every wave and we have to wait 6 months to use them? Not acceptable.

I don't think they are in danger of going full GW, but it isn't good.
Here's the thing about holding off for a major rewrite of some mechanic or other. I get that things like that take time to test. And I want them to do it thoroughly and thoughtfully. I absolutely wouldn't want something like that rushed.
But testing that change doesn't preclude the possibility of an interim FAQ on all the obvious questions while they work on said errata.
Yes, a second FAQ does mean more work for the Graphic Design/Publishing department or whatever they call it. But, really, how much more? It is really worth this kind of disruption in community relations to save four designer man-hours?
