I vote that @Ardaedhel starts a new thread or names this one:
"FAQ Yeah!"
when the FAQing FAQ is finally updated...
I don't think they deserve excitement over an FAQ release at this point.
More like "FAQing FINALLY"

You are so right. FAQing absurd.
Yes, we all would like to have a new FAQ (at least for CC). Although it has been exactly 150 days today since the last one - it has not been as long as it has before, nor as soon as it has been before.
The list below has all previous FAQ's for SWA released (6 total), with the number of days between each (and today's date last).

The dark times...the days before the v2.21 FAQ.
I count 157 days (Dated 10/17 ?)
Days since the previous FAQ is immaterial not a great measure. What matters is days since the wave release. And that delay has been getting longer and longer with recent waves. Ask yourself:
What new questions do we have unrelated to Wave 5 (and now 6)? Not many. I can't think of one off the top of my head.
The answer to questions sent in prior to the wave's release is always "we'll release a FAQ shortly after release." The fact that there are these raging issues with each new wave that go unaddressed for 6 months or more from spoiler to resolution really is inexcusable when you have a community that is so proactive about bringing the issues to the devs' attention via the proper channels...
Edited by ArdaedhelHey FFG, at least wine and dine me before you FAQ me like this.
Thats FAQ'd up Zep.

It'd be worth calculating the time between the last release and the subsequent FAQ. In this case, the more egregious part is just that there are a lot of unanswered questions about the current wave.

No more than typical for a wave... We're just, well, I don't want to say better organised about it, because we're not - we always were... Its just a case of the Online community surrounding it is louder, so the combined voice is louder... More people are seeing and asking the questions, rather than just the real hardcore 5-6 of us there was around Wave 2. (And I just mean, Rules Sub-Forum, of course).
I'm not necessarily saying there are more unanswered questions than normal, just that measuring the time without FAQ might be more aptly done starting from the point the latest wave was released. So in this case, late December, and in the previous FAQs case, mid-August (if my memory isn't failing me).
You could go 180 days without a FAQ and that wouldn't be a big deal if there weren't any new questions to be asked in those 180 days. Conversely 90 days with an influx of unanswered questions would be worse, even though the length of time is half.

The choice between the two seems to be either a **** sandwich or a **** sundae...
In either case, its not exactly appealing ![]()

Is there a cherry on the sundae? ![]()

If there was, would cutting the Crust off the Sandwich likewise improve it?
Guys go out and buy more Armada stuff! Make the game more lucrative so they focus on it more ![]()
Happy FAQing Friday.
They've never been really good at sorting out this cluster FAQ.
FFG really has underestimated this communities urgent need for a good FAQing.
FAQ'IN CYLONS!!!
I like to imagine the delay is because they are playtesting a major change in how the game works.
Like, say, delayed activations or something.

They already did this. It's disguised as flotillas, and virtually everyone uses it.

or it's something a lot less exciting like dozens of CC questions that need answers...
