Nope.

Will the FAQ be out before World's i wonder?!

They don't care enough about us :(

Yes, one week before. So all testing will be pointless.

Has any game received a new FAQ lately?

Still got my bet on the 17th of march

There's a new X-Wing FAQ today!

And Man, they Changed Stuff.

Like.... Man, I can't really find a suitable equivelant...

Hardcore.

Were they erratas? Hard nerfs n buffs? I have no way of telling because I know nothing about the game.

Erratas that are Nerfs.

Something that had Range Infinite was reduced to Range 1.

Something that was basically "Exhaust after you roll your dice to change a die to whatever you want", became "Exhaust Before you Roll your Dice, Pick a Die Result, and you MUST change a die to that Result."

Yeah, actual honest to god erratas of multiple cards.

Intense.

I won't pretend to have any clue as to the possible internal reasons for such a delay, but this has got to be past reasonable by even the most understanding of standards.

Well, it sorta makes sense.

You'd generally want all of the FAQs for the May/November tracks to come out around the same time.

We have a significantly smaller team doing these than we used to (1 guy - yes?)

If they're doing actual errata, that may be the reason why it is taking so long. It's typically not their policy to do actual errata.

Either something changed and they're testing new errata before deploying changes in an FAQ (could just be a scattered XWing happening), or the XWing changes have help up the May FAQ.

Usually they start answering the email questions when an FAQ is about to come out though.

Meanwhile, at FFG HQ, the team assigned to rule clarification for Star Wars Armada has long since split into two warring factions. Months have passed. Supplies are low. Each faction is losing a person on a near daily basis. Outlook for survival.... dim... all because of RLB...

I could be wrong but fairly certain this is following their six month schedule

Considering the Team is 1 Person. You just called Michael Gernes a schizophrenic.

Is that not a possibility? Considering you recently had to take a break from the rules forum, isn't it plausible that the FAQ process has driven the poor man to insanity :)

I don't disregard it as a Possibility.

I freely admit to having a love/hate relationship with the situation this is all in at the moment.

At this point I think they're testing a major rule change. It's the only explanation for such a long delay. The question is what element of the game it's about.

I am looking at this as a sign of Hope. Typically, when X Wing gets an update we are right there too.

Dras recognized the danger and withdrew in time.

Gernes paid the price for his lack of vision.

Honestly I would wonder what rule they are thinking of. FFG's perception might be very different from the players.
Maybe the Interdictor and tractor beam stuff getting a buff? =). That would be my one quality of life fix. As opposed to massive overhaul.

Nah. I think they're just settling on a six month cycle for FAQs. Armada currently does not require a massive change. Wave 5 is frankly amazingly well balanced all things considered.

For certain (ie, most) Definitions of "Balanced", yes. :D

But that doesn't excuse the fact that some things are patently unplayable without at least advice.
