Kad Solus with PS6 and who has to my eye pretty stellar pilot skill, after executing red maneuver assign two Focus tokens.

I remember the article of Protectorates and they used Stay On Target EPT on him, seems to be good choice, but PS6 is bit of a problem with that when you cant use it against aces like Soontir etc.

But what I think is that this pilot skill is easier to use than other Protectorates and I would like to see this fellow with Attanni Mindlink, where it gives stress also to other ship it also provide focus with red maneuvers. Im going to test him out soon with Asajj Ventress because he or she has good green maneuvers and it leaves bit space to use Evade or BMST without having PTL.

Have you guys been testing him out or is Old Teroch and Fenn Rau the way to go when it comes to Protectorates?

Edited my mistake on Attanni Mindlink...it gives only one focus when Kad Solus executes red maneuver, not two..

I haven't tried Kad yet, but that is mostly because I haven't found the right list yet either. He is definitely a solid pilot with is ability, PS6 and an EPT but it doesn't seem like he will be burning up the competitive scene.

After tournaments die down a little bit and I play a bit more casual X-Wing he is someone whom is on my list of pilots to try out.

I fixed that mistake. I will be buying the Punishing One this week so I can test those Attanni Mindlinks and Manaroo with Kad Solus and other cool combos.

I ran him in a Mindlink list with Guri and Manaroo and it went fairly well. He moved last in that list so everyone got their stress after they got their own actions. I'm not sure Mindlink is the place to put him though, mostly because the stress does require some planning around and it makes everyone else vulnerable that next turn. It was pretty sweet using Manaroo to get Kad 3 focus and a target lock after using a T-roll. I think I'm going to replace him with Old Teroch next time I try that squad though because it seems like his ability is a bit more game changing for only one point more.

I really want to make Bodyguard work on him, if only to say I used that card. Pair him with OT or Rau and fly them in formation. You'd have enough points left over for Manaroo, or even Asajj/Ketsu

That's the setting I wanna try. Just a PS8 Ace who can Tallon and Turn with 2 focus.

Stay on target, thrusters and the title clock in at an even 30.

Instant red maneuver where you want it, actions for days. I love it.
