FaD.. Great dark force powers??

By LordEnforcer, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

If I wanted to create a dark side / sith type character... please tell me what kind of career, skills and talents would you have?

also what would be your force abilities?

Well, Unleash and Bind cover Force Lightning/Force Choke. Harm is a life drain-type ability. Other than that, it depends on the Sith. (And Harm seems uncommon, even there.)

As for specializations... Aggressor is the obvious one. The trees that include a Conflict talent are all quite appropriate, being the darkest-flavored ones, but pretty much any tree could belong to a dark side character. (Though Consular/Healer would probably be a bit odd. I suppose they'd probably specialize in Harm? Evil "medics" are hardly unheard of in fiction, though.)

Harm and Unleash are the default Force powers that lean on the dark side, but the other powers aren't non-dark either. As long as you're using dark side points to generate Force, you're on that path. Careers and specializations are much the same; as they are all archetypes, any one of them can be used to build a dark sider. Some, perhaps, require a bit of thinking on how they work, but they all can be used. Some do have Conflict talents, like the Aggressor, but that doesn't make them inherently dark side.

More than likely, you're probably thinking the Maul/Vader style dark side brute, or the Sidious style dark side wizard. In the former case, Warrior/Aggressor with Shii-Cho Knight is probably best, while the latter would be Mystic/Seer or Consular/Sage.

An Enhance-using Executioner (from Savage Spirits) also sounds terrifying.

I'm playing one of those in Wayward Stars, though she's not to the point of being able to increase her stats. I haven't even gotten to test her in combat yet. But I think she'll be pretty scary. Especially with that modified Crit 1 vibroknife.

How many of these threads do you plan to start?

Careers, skills. talents ..... all of that depends on the concept man. Any of them work well for a Sith.

Advisor Warden Hutt. Put XP in Cunning and Willpower. Influence, Bind. Focus on Coercion, Fear. Use Influence a lot, Bind when mentally controlling your foe is not enough.

I get the feeling you may soon get the chance...

Oh, most probably.

But that's why you brought me, isn't it? :D
