Admiral Darth Veggie went online!

By Darth Veggie, in Star Wars: Armada

What have I done? It has happened! I have started an Armada blog - and it is called "Admiral Darth Veggie".

In fact there are already two blog articles online. However, the blog will be most of the time in German. This week's article (and next week's) is as an exception also provided in English (but terrible English due to the fact that I need to eat more dark side carrots to improve my English). This is the case because next week Admiral Darth Veggie will have an interview with pt106. This week's article will provide the context for this interview.

In the future the blog will be mainly of interest to you, if you speak German (or want to reactivate it). However, I will keep you informed about English articles whenever they happen.

Today's article is about the Achilles heel of the ISD.

You can find it here. You need to scroll a bit down for the English version of the article. Enjoy and eat more dark side carrots!

Unfortunately your link does not work, I have tried without the "http." in front and it worked, great article by the way!

Thank you for the hint. I've fixed it.

Nice!

Interesting article you have there. However this scenario works only if there are no other ships on the field. Granted, two corvettes could outmaneuver a lone ISD, but if there is another Imperial ship there, one of the corvettes will inevitably fall into its firing range. The whole point of the ISD is that it's so intimidating that you MUST focus on it and a good Imperial player counts on the fact that the ISD will be the first one his opponent would try to avoid and plan accordingly. If you pair that ISD with two VSDs or Glads your opponent won't have the luxury to fly around the ISD so carelessly because he would suffer massive damage from the other ships.

That is true! However, as made up as the simulation is: I have seen it more than once that an ISD is not able to get the enemy into its front firing arc. So, yes you are right. You can achieve it that your enemy gets the full volley. But that is not somethings that you should take for granted. And hopefully next week's interview will discuss the strategies for that in depth.

I have never had an issue getting my ISD into firing position. But then, I fly very tight formations with GSD support...hehehe

I await pt2!

Good article, thanks for posting it.

I love the title, Caps-lock was made for German.

DAS ERLĂ–SCHEN DER STERNE II: DIE ACHILLESVERSE DES ISD

That is mainly the fault of the web side creation tool. There the standard for the first headline is capital letters. 'Has nothing to do with the German language! Promise! :-)

I liked this yesterday, but forgot to comment!

I'm glad to see another blog pop up! Sorry that I am not fluent in your language, but I will be advertising it on my blog. You've got some readership potential out there, as the #5 origin for readers on my blog is Germans.

Keep writing and good job! Loved the first article (and will probably enjoy any one of them that I can read.)

No, no, there are not that many German readers of your blog, that is me hitting the refresh button all the time in hope of a new article!

Just kidding. Thank you for your comment!
