Stressful as all hell, because you know the tournament has really just begun. There's no more screwups allowed anymore, because you can't afford to lose. On the flip side, you no longer care about losing ships so long as you win.

I ended up making it to two SC final rounds and I lost both. I like the coins more than the medals, if only because I can grow my collection of uber shield tokens.

So far I have won a medal and a coin, what I like the most... The sweet sweet Alt Art cards !

That's Perth mint for you....bullion pieces at 6X spot price.

But...they are probably the most beautiful ounces you can find. And even at that super bloated price it won't be long before the collector market trades them at several hundred dollars.

Perth's kooks and lunars are some of the most sought after silver ever made.

But for me, I'll always prefer generic bars or rounds.

I also absolutely love ffg pot metal tournament coins.

I quite like the challenge coins myself, more fun tossing those for initiative than rolling an attack dice

I love the coins and hope they stick with them. The medals are dumb, when am I ever going to wear the medal. At least with the coins I can use them as a Palp token or like my area has started doing a challenge coin game similar to the military one where if somebody challenges you and you don't got your coin with you, you gotta buy them a soda.

If elected President, Trump promises to get FFG to design the biggest, best coin ever! It will be tremendous, the best really SNIFF. Totally amazing quality SNIFF. You have nothing to lose by winning it.

It is a real nice coin, but it is a australian $2 coin with a material worth of $23 and a $117.27 price tag . (all in australian dollar for better comparison; 1 AUD = 0.75 USD = 0.68 Euro)

Still, it would be a real nice tournament price, a nice memento with little material value.

Yes, in an article about the new Quarterly Kits. According to that article, each kit will contain:

2x Elite Prize Items (acrylic tokens, etc.)

3x Elite Prize Card (alt art)

17x Core Prize Card (alt art)

So, presumably no coins or medals and much less acrylic. I suppose it's probably intended to be 16x participation card (+1 for TO), 2x prize alt art for top two (+1 for TO), then 2x Prize Item which will hopefully go the Top 2 but could presumably be intended to be one for First Place and one for TO (so that first and second do get something different)?

I like the challenge coins. (Much, much, MUCH better than the medals, which were just goofy.) I've only kept one from each event, selling the rest, but still, they're nice and solid.

Seriously though it really is intense. I was completely flabbergasted when I made top four in Selden NY this year. Every move mattered and I was exhausted after 12 hours of X-wing.
