Most Wanted and Defiance

By Kiwi Rat, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

Yesterday when I played a tournament, when I used the Most Wanted rule against my opponents activated objective ship, he said I couldn't add two black dice to my attack. As Defiance adds its black dice after the Most Wanted dice has been added.

But reading the text of both rules does not make it clear which one goes first.

So I just want to know can I add Defiance attack dice before or after the Most Wanted attack dice?

When do you "Add" Dice ?

- During the Modify Dice Step.

When do you "Add" Dice due to Defiance?

- During the Modify Dice Step.

When do you "Add" Dice due to Most Wanted?
- During the Modify Dice Step.

When you have multiple effects at the same time, what time do they occur in?

- THE TIME OF YOUR CHOOSING.

Nothing wrong with going:

- Defiance adds a Black Die

- Most wanted adds a Black Die

- Concentrate Fire (Dial) adds a Black Die.

3 Black die plus all the Red and potentially blue Goodness.

Dras is correct. You can add/modify/spend/reroll dice in whatever order you like. Your opponent was wrong.

But reading the text of both rules does not make it clear which one goes first.

And If I may just stress it here:

• An effect that modifies attack dice can only be resolved during the “Resolve Attacks Effects” step of an attack unless another timing is specified.

- as you said, you read the rules on the cards, the cards do not specify any other timing... Sooooooo.

• If two or more of a player’s effects have the same timing, that player can resolve those effects in any order.

- The rulebook has the Rule you are after.

My Opponent was quite adament that Most Wanted was added first, I didn't pick a fight over it, because in the end it didn't matter, Demolisher died anyway to concentrated fire :D

But it is good to know I was right ;)

You could even toss in a 3rd black from CF. Good times :D

Dont pick Most Wanted when Defiance is on the table......

Let this be lesson of the week!
