I have been playing this for a week or so and I am really enjoying it. I do have one simple question however.

Are all actions played within a single action window considered "in response" to one another? Or can I allow another player's action to resolve prior to playing my own, basically having the two actions resolve in First in, First out order rather than Last in, First out?

I'm sorry if this question makes no sense. I don't know the cards well enough right now to provide an example of when this would be beneficial, but it was just a question I had when reading through the rules.

In an action window things can go one of two ways.

1. You play an action and it resolves. After that the other player could then play an action.

2. you play an action and your opponent then plays an action in response to your action. This involves the "stack process". This can lead to a chain of actions that all ultimately lead back to the original action.
