TIE Bombers

By chadphillips8352, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Greetings, all! New X-Wing player here. Gotten into the game with my 11 year old son. He recently saw that I bought the Imperial Veterans set, and apparently really likes the TIE Bomber. Just wondering if there are any good/fun lists for the TIE Bomber, as I haven't come across any so far. Here are the sets I have access to at the moment.

Red Core Set

Imperial Aces

Imperial Veterans

TIE Interceptor

TIE/sf

B-Wing

ARC-170

Outrider

K-Wing

I appreciate any and all help! Thanks.

I recently posted a list with 2 bombers and a punisher if you're interested. You'll just need to grab a punisher expansion.

You've definitely got a couple of good individual Bomber builds:

Deathfire (17)

- Extra Munitions (2)

- Connor Nets (4)

- Proton Torpedoes (4)

- Long-Range Scanners (0)

Total 27

Tomax Bren (24)

- Crack Shot (2)

- Proton Torpedoes (4)

- Extra Munitions (2)

- Long-Range Scanners (0)

Total 32

(Homing missiles would be better but you don't have those. Plasmas would work if you need an extra point).

As for what to pair them with... it's not easy with the stuff you have. The "Fully Optimized" builds for a lot of your ships (defenders and interceptors in particular) use stuff you don't have at the moment (TIE Mk. II and Juke for Defenders, Autothrusters for Defenders). But there's still stuff you can do. Push The Limit interceptors (or Ryad) are still good even without the mods; Soontir Fel with PTL is a nightmare for some lists to deal with even without Autothrusters & Stealth Device. Backdraft with Fire Control Systems, Sensor Cluster and your choice of elite is another good option.

I appreciate the comments, guys. I'm still in the process of expanding my collection, so hopefully some of those mods will be available to me shortly (Predator and TIE/fo are high on the list). I prefer Imperials myself, but I'm trying to have a good balance of Imperial to Rebel so my son and I can play different setups.
