Gatekeeper question (Spoilers)

The first adventure going to Quolos and encountering Gel Marcolf. It didn't go anything like expected and well this is where I need help. The encounter with Gel was roleplayed so well that Gel didn't attack, seen the light and helped to negotiate peace with the factions. Now my question is this?

What would you do with Gel? I could just send him off into the galaxy never to be seen again. I could save him to bail out the party later or what?

Any ideas on this subject would be very helpful. Thanks.

I have to ask what the the Sathari's reaction to the redemption would be. If he really saw the light, he could maybe stay on Arbooine to make up for what he did. That could conveniently write him out for the duration of the adventure until you can find a way to work him back in at a later date.

I think Blackbird888 has the right idea here. If they truly redeemed Marcoilf then I think he would want to stay around and repent for his actions. As an aside this will give them a contact/ally later.

Might Gel be interested in joining the party? He might also wish to learn the fate of Suljo Warde.

Things went a little differently in my game, the players chased down the Gel as he was attempting to flee the city after the players instigated a civil war.

The group barely defeated him, with 3 of the 5 of them being unconscious and the standing members nearly done as well. I was having a new player join us in the next session though, so I railroaded them a bit and had them all captured by an Inquisitor that showed up with an overwhelming force of Stormtroopers. They captured the players and Marcolf and some Sathari.

Things worked out.

I created a custom short adventure where I got to torture each of my friends (in the game) during interrogations before the new player showed up to help them escape.

But I'm never done with characters, I like to find ways to bring them back into the story.
