Are the cards printed in French? I'm going to Paris in a few weeks and though about picking up an xwing--maybe a French fang. it would be cool to have some cards in another language.
attn: French xwingers
Yes they are among other languages. The language of the expansion is readily noticeable by the outer packaging as it is possible a shop in France may have English language expansions as well.
Thanks--if I see English on the outside--no buy. I'll look for French packaging.
Also available in German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Polish as well a few more.
Hello, i'm a player from Paris, I confirm you can find all products translated in French. For your information, I've seen some in spansh too (many Spanish play in French tournaments !)
If you need good adresses for shops in Paris to buy products, I can send them to you, there are about 5 or 6 shops with an active community.
By the way, I'll be in New York for 2 weeks end of this month, If you have any adress for a good shop as I'd like also to buy a couple of products, dont hesitate to give me those names !
Enjoy your stay in Paris !

You will find cards in french. English packages are generally not available in France, and when they are, you even pay them more (because of importation costs).
PAQUET D'EXTENSION
Edited by Mu0nmy original core sets are in French because back in holiday season of 2012, the English ones were all sold out in Montreal.
There's a store called Variantes near Notre-Dame. Looks like I'll go there.
Also available in German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Polish as well a few more.
Also Chinese, Korean, Finnish, Swedish, Russian, Hungarian, and Portuguese.

While there are people from outside NA reading this...
Do you folks play on a 3 feet by 3 feet area, or a 1 meter by 1 meter area?
3x3 feet, it makes 90 x90 cm,or 3 range rulers (30cm each), I don't see why we would change it. The whole game seems cm-based (10 cm = 1 range; 4cm = 1 base) anyway.
Also available in German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Polish as well a few more.
And now I must have a German Soontir!

Aren't cards tournament legal depending on the country they are played in? ie You need English on the cards if you are playing in the US for example?
Negative, you see all of the languages played at worlds together.

I'm heading to Paris today. Is there some gaming store near Vanves?

Édit: there's also Waaagh Tavern near metro station Edgar Quinet, but they have less xwing for sale and I'm not sure when are their gaming nights.
Edited by GingerleoBut English is bestest language why you no want to talk proper like what we do?
Variantes had them, and my wife waited in an Irish Pub across the street (Corcoran's). At first, I only saw the big ship packages, but when I asked, the store employee went in the back and came back with a big box full of small ships. I bought a protectorate and ARC. I'm going back in a few weeks (killer flight deal we couldn't pass up), and I may have to try to find one of the new ships.
I wonder how hard it would be to order French or German or Russian cards in the U.S.
What I mean is...Could a store special order that sort of thing?

It is better to ask someone of local players in case with Russian cards.
As I know expansions in Russian are out of production and stores are selling leftovers. Travis from US was in Saint-Petersburg at NY holidays and we searched for some expansions in local stores ![]()
