Worlds - Who is Going? What Day Are We Playing? Where Do We Eat Breakfast?

By BiggsIRL, in Star Wars: Armada

I'll be there, for sure! Gonna have a good time, and I've got a decent number of the Pittsburgh crew crashing the event as well (3 plus myself, if I have counted correctly).

Myself and the rest of the Pittsburgh crew are all in Day 1A.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and we should all have it together! Anyone know a good breakfast restaurant in the area we can crash with a "I have no idea how many people are showing up on a Thursday morning" sort of non-reservation? We have had good fun in the past at the Pittsburgh and Martinsburg regionals, as well as US Nationals, getting a lot of players together for a meal before we start playing. US Nationals was the most successful by far, as we got 2 full tables of I think close to 15 people all together (though not all were playing in Armada).

Ideally this would be something to do both Thursday and Friday with people playing both days - build the community and get to learn one another's faces. Plus eat eggs and bacon.

I'll be arriving on Thursday afternoon, to play on Friday. I'll be staying with another fellow from North of the border so that's two of us probably! I'm down with breakfast ... heck, Saturday too!

I'll be flying in Wednesday but don't play until Friday. I'll be around Thursday watching games and should be free to grab breakfast. Looking forward to meeting a lot of people on the forums.

I play on Friday.

I'll be staying at hotel My House. It's not fancy, but it has all of the comforts of home. Plus it serves breakfast. Well, I'll probably have to make my own breakfast.

I didn't read properly. I'd be down for grabbing breakfast, and making a fool of myself a moment ago.

I'll be there! Playing Friday (hopefully Saturday....), and possibly the team tournament on Sunday. Won't be getting in until Thursday night though. Also staying at Hotel My House....

As for breakfast, there's a couple of the chains around: Perkins, Bakers Square, etc...

But it would hard to beat Key's Cafe for breakfast. It's along the same lines as Perkins, but Family-owned, and they have an excellent bakery (try one of their cupcakes).

Only 10 minutes from FFG headquarters as well. Link here for those interested.

Also....Pancakes as big as your face.

Ummm...I think the team tourney is Saturday afternoon? Otherwise I've messed up my plane tickets badly!

But the bakery sounds great!

I'm flying in Wednesday evening, so I'm in for the breakfast and looking forward to meet all of you ;)

The bubble guppies would say outside.

I'm getting in Thursday and playing Friday. I'm looking forward to meeting as many folks as possible! I'm very excited!

I eat breakfast! I would like face sized pancakes!

Hell's Kitchen. It's a hop, skip, and a jump away from FFGC and light years better than any of the chain restaurants in Roseville.

I won't be making it.

I had to shift $2k in painting funds from the Business to pay Rent for the Family, and that was my Business Holiday plan.

Arriving Wed, playing Armada Thurs & X-wing Fri. Saturday hoping for some side event action.

My plane arrives Thursday morning at ~8:40am(?) and my first game is Friday (1B). I'm sure I'll miss Thursday's breakfast but count me in for Friday's and Saturday's. I'm not planning on renting a car and so far my plans are to get a Uber from the airport to my hotel (next to the game center). I don't think I'll need a vehicle, no? I haven't used Uber before and I know there are some tensions about Uber making pick ups at airports. Anyone know the local Uber dealio at this airport?

I assume whatever place we eat breakfast is walking distance from my hotel (the name escapes me right now; it's the less expensive one that is not hosting the game events).

I'm driving up on Thursday and should get there by dinner time. I'm definitely interested in food of some sort to fuel up for a long day of Armada on Friday.

What about 2nd breakfast???

I'm staying at the hotel next to the event so somewhere within walking distance would be preferred for breakfast. Anyone have any idea of how many people are registered for Armada or how many rounds we should expect?

I'm arriving sometime on Wednesday and playing Thursday in 1A. The Original Pancake House was pretty good, but might not be able to handle big groups without reservation.

I know there is a perkins down the road...but probably need to drive there. It is kind of an industrial area....so not much immediately around it at least in my one trip there. I am driving in Thursday playing Friday. Staying at the Key Inn

Ah yes you are correct! I misread jumping between the side event and full event schedule. Either that or I assumed that they wouldn't be the same day.

I expect a live stream of the breakfast.

I'll be flying on Thursday evening for 1B. I'm always ready for breakfast!

arrive tuesday evening and that breakfast is the main meal of the day.belive i have day one for armada. :)

Flying in Wed, playing on Friday. Count me in.

I have an Original Pancake House near me and it is delicious. This gets my vote for Thursday or Friday (Saturday it will probably be packed)
