Does this terrible U-Wing idea actually work?

By Jarval, in X-Wing

So, first of all a disclaimer that the following U-Wing idea is terrible. But inspired by a comment on the most recent Nova Squadron Radio, does this build actually work the way I think it will?

U-Wing

Daredevil (3)

Advanced Sensors (3)

ยท Kanan Jarrus (3)

Pivot wing (0)

So start with the title in the Attack position. Use Advanced Sensors to Daredevil. As this is a white move, use Kanan to clear the stress, and flip the title to Landing. Reveal a 0 stop, rotate 180, then flip the title back to Attack...

Looking at it i think it does. You execute yhe move frome DD which triggers the title, reveal the stop turn your ship (which happens BEFORE you execute due to the wording) 'execute' the stop which triggers the title again.

If you have the points slap a Engine Upgrade on it so you donxt kill yourself with DD.

Maybe.

The interaction between Kanan and Daredevil is a bit of a contested topic, and it's entirely possible it would play out thusly:

- Execute white 1-turn

- Kanan triggers here, when there is no stress to remove.

- Assign 1 stress token.

- Resolve damage (if applicable)

It's on the list of things which will hopefully be addressed in the FAQ (whenever it finally lands).

Yup, the timings around Kanan and Daredevil are the thing I was really uncertain about. Hopefully an FAQ will be forthcoming, although I can't see this combination actually being used much... :)

To me, since Daredevil doesn't tell you to immediately apply the stress, the token and Kanan occur simultaneously, meaning the player would choose the order to resolve them. It would be nice to have consistent language across cards.

Did FFG update the printed text for any of the dozens of cards that are rewritten in the FAQ? It's so confusing not knowing which cards can be taken at face value.
