Mindlocked: Fenn, Palob, and Manaroo.

Just sharing a fun list I've been running a bit on vassal, that takes advantage of the hugely underrated Attanni Mindlink EPT.

32 Fenn w/ Mindlink, AT, Title.

25 Palob w/ Mindlink, ABT, Cloak.

43 Manaroo w/ Mindlink, Dengar, Title.

The cheap ABT Palob build is fast becoming one of my favourite scum filler ships. Even when he's not shooting his ABT, Palob still contributes to the game, by stealing the enemies tokens, acting as a focus battery for Mindlink, creating a R1 no-go zone for aces, and drawing fire away from your heavy hitters. I'm a little unsure of whether I want to keep the illicit cloak, or trade it for another 2pt upgrade (Latts, Vector Thrusters, and Outlaw Tech all spring to mind).

Fenn is a fairly straight forward inclusion. He's fed tokens from Mindlink and Manaroo, freeing him up to Boost/BR into R1, or TL if he's already there. Once in R1 he just wrecks face, hopefully with a TL + 2x Focus.

Manaroo is awesome in this list. She hits pretty **** hard with the Title, Dengar crew, and the focus she almost always has. If I can I try to TL with Manaroo so she can pass it and the focus Palob gives her to Fenn. The best part is when she passes her tokens she gets a free focus herself. She's also an incredibly annoying first target as she's pretty much always passing off her tokens, so any TLs the enemy has on her are shunted to either Palob or Fenn.

I like this list because even when I lose a ship it's still fairly effective because of the crazy action economy that Mindlink provides. Both Fenn and Manaroo hit pretty hard at R1, and they're both manoeuvrable enough to get there and stay there (for the most part). The only weakness is stress, but even then with 2 turrets and Fenn's green heavy dial, I can still stay in the fight fairly well. With Mindlink I also get decent action economy whilst stressed as long as one ship can perform an action, or Palob can steal one.

I'm a little unsure of whether I want to keep the illicit cloak, or trade it for another 2pt upgrade (Latts, Vector Thrusters, and Outlaw Tech all spring to mind).

Since Palob doesn't really need his action to get a focus token with both a Mindlink net up and his own ability, how about Black Market Slicer Tools? That extends the 'no go' zone against stress-sensitive aces (primarily The Inquisitor and Soontir Fel) out to range 2, matching his token-stealing range.

Sounds like a fun list, including BMST and Rigged Cargo sound like good ideas.
