I'm willing to bet a good Mindlink squad will be able to out damage a squad based around BMST. Mindlink is spending actions on damage modifiers, BMST is spending their actions on a 50/50 chance to do one damage and remove your stress...

BMST is a cool card, but I wouldn't be too concerned with it while flying my Mindlink list.

Totally. They're both great and balanced. I just feel bad. Attanni Mind Link was already on the fringe and not competitive.

Though - when you run mindlink, stress is something you plan for in the planning phase - often having a k-turn, while many other ships then run green to clear the stress, resulting in a single stressed ship (sometimes 2 if a white move is ok, and the mindlinked actions will keep you up). Mindlink squads also like to have shared P.S. where possible. This means that BMST can't pick its target - since it won't know which ship will end stressed (since it's based on move order). BMST will require tactician or some kind of stressor, else it will be doing the mindlink squad a favor - dropping the stress on the only stressed ship, if damage occurs.

Mindlink is the most under rated EPT as far as I'm concerned. A 3 ship squad with 2 heavy hitters and a support focus generator flown well is pretty scary.

I don't think bmst is going to be all its cracked up to be.

Let's look at what it does

- 1 pt

- uses illicit slot

- range 1-2

- Requires an action

- You have 50/50 chance of success

- If failed your left with nothing for your defense and offense.

- If successful, you remove a stress from the ship, and it takes a facedown card.

- It will hurt ship like Ewing's, interceptors, anything with 2-3 hull.

- What it won't hurt is ships like dengar, shadow caster, anything with lots of hull. Even aggressors probably not going to hurt it

Personally I think feedback is a better choice over bmst. Chances are if your running bmst your probably putting it on a ship like a z95 which feedback work best on.

If your put it on a ship like U-boat or shadow caster I don't think it's going to be all its cracked up to be, as those ships lose an action just for a chance.

As for attani mind link it's a great elite upgrade for ships to share actions. Gives ships a cheap ptl option at the cost of everyone gets stressed if one ship gets stressed, Which is easily accounted for when setting dials.

Ship A does a kturn everyone gets stressed, ship b does a green move everyone gets a focus, ship c does a green move and is able to perform his own action outside of focus.

Ran 3 scyks with mindlink and hlc and z95 with mindlink and was pretty good results thus far. Was nice to see scyks win

• Rebel Captive is a ballbuster

I read the title and had a heart attack. My competitive list is a 3 ship mindlink list, and I was afraid ffg nurfed it or something. Oh, you think a new upgrade is gonna make attini hard to use? Ha, ok then. I've gone up against stress lists before, didn't have a problem clearing stress and spreading focus/tls around. Bms is of no concern

Stress is actually less of a concern for a well flown Mindlink list than it is for non-Mindlink. The only one that is potentially scary for Mindlink is a Snapshot/R3-A2 flown well, simply because it could potentially stress before they reveal a manuever.

Stress lists are a hindrance to mindlink but as others have said the action economy can override the inconvenience. Even with all 3 ships stressed a green on just one of them nets you actions across the board with handed out focus. Can't be turning around, but that's what rear arc's are for.

And as others have said, I have absolutely 0 worry of BMST with my mindlink list. I am in no way a top notch player, but if any of the top players ran and practiced mindlink, gaurenteed you'd see it at final tables. It can definately be competitive.

Considering that most Scum ships have more hull than shields... not a problem.

With the sole exception of Slicer Z-95s, this. And even then it's only good because the poor things literally have nothing better to do most of the time.

I am so sorry to hear of Attanni's passing. She always had this kinda blue sexy if she got tested and came back clean but still blue thing going on.
