Firespray with a mobile arc doesnt make any sense. It doesnt have a turret, it legitimately has ass guns ala Astroboy. That would be an upgrade for any PWT ship (or even hwk/y) not a firespray.
Truth the firespray has 2 titles already but honestly who the hell uses them except for an extra munitions if you got 2pts lying around? Titles that simply add upgrade slots are lame.
It should have a title that endorses the fact that its been hired by the Empire and isnt normally a part of them. I.e. some kind of bounty reward for killing a specific ship, access to Scum crew, or something of that nature.
Firespray is such a mess though i would be surprised to see a proper fix for it without just rereleasing it.

I also think access to Illicits on just that vessel would be handy as well. Kath + BMST has potential.

An upgrade card, large ship only, that replaces the cannon slot with a tech slot. Then, add large ship based techs (because they are all small ships right now), that provide an interesting boost. This provides different upgrades for:
- Lambda: I would not mind seing something other than a Palp shuttle.
- Firespray: need it
- Aggressor: need it
- YT-2400 (not that you'd want to lose that cannon)
Access to Scum Crew and Illicit basically makes the Imperial Firespray a Scum Firespray (which ppl complain about being useless, although I do not think so) with worse abilities and access to Imperial only cards.
That's because Scum have several other awesome large bases that put the Firespray to shame. The Imbalanced 5000, Party Bus, Brobot, Lancer. Scum can be picky about their large bases.
Imps have the Decimator, which is a large chunk of points more than a Firespray, and a decent boat. The Lambda is a utility/buff boat. Upsilon has yet to be spoiled. At this moment in time, one decent combat ship, and the Firespray. If it had options for Scum abilities, while it would not be amazing, being able to combine those with Imperial abilities would be interesting.
Maybe a Palp-Deci paired with a PTL Kath Mangler Firespray carrying Latts Razi for stacking Evades. I dunno, just spitballing idea here.

Well, besides the before mentioned Razzi'Spray with Palp combo for a slippery Firespray (2 or 3 Dice w/ Focus, Palp and maybe Stealth Device + 1 Evade token + 1 Razzi Evade) you could pair a Imp'Spray with Ketsu Onyo with a TIE Defender /D with a Tractor Beam for stacking tractor beam tokens to cripple something.
BMST'Spray with Systems Officer paired with Lt. Colzet could be fun. Slice a card past shields, give Lt. a TL and then flip it. Systems Officer is optional, but helps with action economy and if you have an ATC on Colzet.
Edit: Imp Kath with Mangler, Tactician, and BMST with Lt Colzet as wingman. Vs Whisper, Echo, The Inquisitor, or similar. Throw Wampa in to keep the theme.
Kath shoots the Mangler at the enemy at range 2, get Evaded, and drops 2 stress on them. Colzet grabs a lock. Next turn, they shed 1 stress. Kath pops a stress with the BMST and Colzet flips it for a (fingers cross) Direct Hit and you kill them without ever actually hitting them. Overly complicated, but would so be worth the table-flip your opponent would do. Even if you arn't killing them in one non-hit, you'll be crippling them.
Edit 2: Actually, since Kath is PS 7, you wouldn't even need Tactician or range 2. She could use BMST to pop the stress before they get to activate it to clear it. Even better. Maybe drop Mara Jade in that place for stress bubble or stick with Systems Officer to keep Colzet fed.

But I agree, even adding a second crew and allowing Scum upgrades (and even illicit) wouldn't make it feel very special or Slave Oney.
It needs to be good at tracking other ships (hence Imperial Boba's ability). How about:
Before you declare the target of an attack you may choose an enemy ship which is not in your firing arc or is beyond range 3*. If you do, you may perform a free barrel roll action**. If you chose an enemy ship this way, you cannot target any other ship with this attack***.
*ie it has to be a ship you couldn't shoot.
**perhaps just "you may perform a barrel roll", so you can do it stressed. Could also allow a boost action (or just boost) depending how powerful you wanted it to be.
***So if your BR doesn't get you a shot on the chosen ship then you don't get a shot.
I think this would be thematic, powerful (very powerful depending which implementation for ** you chose) but would some still require skill to pull off.
Personally, I would change the Slave 1 title (and there is precedent for this due to the two Falcon titles):
"Once you declare the target of your attack, if the defender is within range 1 - 2 of your ship, you may immediately perform a Tractor Beam attack against that ship. Afterwards, perform your declared attack as normal if able."
Bounty Hunter becomes a cheap Tractor Beam for the Empire that isn't a Defender NOT taking the default X7 title.
This makes Krassis OK as he can modify the dice of the tractor attack and then potentially double up with a cluster missile attack as well.
Kath gets two chances to stress someone, three if you throw cluster missiles. Would also be the first ever way to put five stress on someone in a single volley. (Tractor Beam attack: Crit via Calculation + Tactician then Flechette Torp + Tactician + Crit gained via Guidance Chip)
Boba has the most options of being in range due to his ability.
Crew wise:
Recon Spec, Tactician and Agent Kallus are good picks for crew as they can affect both attacks.
Mara Jade could be useful here if you can pull someone into range one of you.
As this works out of both arcs, Tail Gunner really helps.
I'd like to acknowledge what others have said about the lack of 1 hard turn compared to many other large ships. It cost me a vassal league game last night, had to do a 2 turn and just barely had a corner off the edge. Might have lost anyways, but at least could have gone out fighting.
But as nice as it would be to have a 1 turn, it wouldn't be a adequate fix.
Another idea I had a for a fix. Since firesprays are at their most vulnerable when near a edge as they can't kturn, and turning around sometimes means exposing their blindspot and having no shots. What if there was a title/mod/etc that let you do a free boost action if after movement you are within range 1 of the edge of the board?
Cry. Lots of crying.
I think also giving the Firespray Hard 1's would help a lot too.
What about Tail Gunner on Krassis? I like to put an HLC on Scum Kath so that there's no safe place to be (well, other than her sides), this could give a similar effect to Krassis.

Second crew slot! Tail Gunner plus Recon. Specialist, or Tail Gunner plus Gunner, or Tail Gunner plus lots of things!
Although yeah, a system slow would be cool too. Recon. Specialist plus Fire Control System would be good.
I still think something more flavoury than just adding a slot would be better though, something to reflect it's nature as a police ship (if that's still canon) turned bounty hunter ship.
The big thing is that it's 'under contract' to the Empire rather than being general 'scum & villainy'. I dunno. The Title shouldn't be touched (because Boba Fett should be able to get Slave 1). And probably no modifications, because the big thing Slave 1 does for a firespray is allow Long Range Scanners (and Extra Munitions).
Which means a crew card, or an elite upgrade. There are already awesome Imperial-only crew that an auto-include would lock you out of, but the only Imperial-only elite upgrade is Ruthlessness.
A Firespray isn't the only imperial large ship, but (unlike Scum with multiple agility 2 and 3 ships) it's the only large ship with a half-decent green dice roll - 2 dice plus native evade action.
Its biggest weaknesses are (a) its dial, (b) it's lack of repositioning actions.
How about a 'firespray only' elite upgrade? Something akin to "Guild Bounty Hunter" or "No Disintegrations" or similar, that lets you throw it about a bit. Maybe remeniscent of Juno Eclipse' ability - which would (a) give you speed 1 turns and (b) pair incredibly well with Boba Fett's ability
