2+ shots ???

Here's the news article:

Special Ops Training

Like the ARC-170, the Special Forces TIE fighter features a primary weapon with an attack value of "2," plus a zero-cost, non-unique Title upgrade that allows you to boost that primary weapon's attack value to "3" or gain a secondary benefit. However, where the ARC-170's Alliance Overhaul Title offers you the ability to improve the accuracy of any shots you fire from the fighter's auxiliary firing arc, the Special Ops Training Title for the Special Forces TIE fighter is less about choosing the arc from which you want to fire and more about rewarding you for firing from both.

It seems pretty clear that you either boost a primary arc attack or gain an additional attack from the auxiliary arc and that allows you to attack from BOTH arcs. No where does it mention making two auxiliary arc attacks.

"Yes, it is true that if you fire from the Special Force TIE fighter's auxiliary firing arc, you do not gain the additional attack die on your primary weapon attack, but if you line up the shots, the Special Ops Training Title allows you to fire twice."

That's from the product preview linked here: https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/news/2016/7/18/special-ops/

I'm not a fan of "rules as intended" arguments, but in the absence of updated FAQ, it doesn't get much more

clear than that.

Once from the front. Once from the back. That's why you have to line them up.

Not twice from the back.

Another case of reading what you want it to say, and not what it actually says - even with the help of illustrations!

Ninety-nine percent of players reading this card have come to the same conclusion - once out the front with 3 dice or once out the front and once out the back with 2 dice each. If you're having such a hard time believing the ninety-nine percent, then email FFG. It may not appear in the FAQ as I don't think it's a frequently asked question.
