My Worlds List

By Rebel Yell, in X-Wing Squad Lists

First time am I posting but watching long time.

Third time will I be going to World Championship Tournament. Have I using the down list in my area. Am I 17-0 it with. Have not I seen a list better to it after the 9 wave available.

->Palp shuttle with sensor jammer

->Omega leader with juke, shield upgrade, comm relay

->Vessery with juke, twin ion engine, X7 title

total equaling 99 points

Thank you many for comments!

Looks good - and well played.

The only thought I'd have is this:

Would a Stealth Device be (nearly) as effective as the Shield Upgrade on Omega Leader?

4 agility, a banked evade, and, remove your opponent's dice modification ability and you're pretty much in Royal Guard TIE levels of evasiveness - but you drop to 98 points, which gives you a better chance of controlling initiative against other players with Omicron Pilots, Vessery, and PS8 aces - all of whom are **** common.

That's doubly important since Omega Leader needs to move in and target lock, so the I go, out of range, you go, in range, no lock, predator/focus, boom, problem which potentially applies if on the wrong end of the initiative stick.

Interesting. a buddy of mine told me about this exact list. waiting to see it in action. let us know how it goes!

How does OL fare in the current environment with Dengaroo?

I thought OL was on the decline because the Target Lock is tricky business vs. Manaroo and Dengar can shed it one time and lay down some fairly mean heat. While I recognize it's hard for Dengar to do heavy damage through an Evade token + Palp, it's not as though OL is a mountain of hit points.

Have you tested the match much? Just curious.

Yes. I being 3-0 facing Manaroo (1 being with Fenn and Old Teroch, 1 being with Dengar, 1 being with Asajj). Two times I am losing the Omega Leader. By time Omega Leader dust bites, my opponent close to defeating. One ship is died or close to died becuase of him focusing on Omega Leader very much. My key with Omega Leader with Manaroo opponent is not being target locking Manaroo. If Manaroo has being only one friend I am ignoring Manaroo.

Yeah, OL having his TL on Dengar is the way to go, Manaroo will just pass it on.

For the Countermeasures turn, you DON'T attack with OL (if he's in Dengar's arc).

I personally bring Jendon to help with getting around the Countermeasures, and the Shuttle's title to help make sure Vessery has his locks. I don't run Sensor Jammer or any mod on OL, so it is a bit different in terms of playstyle.
