what if... point costs for ships varied small vs large

By Wiredin, in X-Wing

Somewhat on/off topic, but someone needs to do a "Where is Dash" like Echolocation with a YT-2400 doing Movement + Leebo Boost + PTL to Burnout SLAM + Adv. SLAM to Barrel Roll.

PTL to Burnout SLAM doesn't work.

You could do move>SLAM>ASLAM>Boost>BR though.

Why not? Burnout SLAM states your action bar gains the SLAM icon, so PTL should be able to trigger it.

Because a SLAM action cannot be performed as a free action, ever.

Ah, gotcha. Thanks.

In my fantasy version of X-wing 2.0 there would be some kind of variable cost mechanic for upgrades.

Stealth device would see more use (outside of interceptors) if it was scaled to the agility of the ship you are putting it on.

Engine upgrade would be small ship only and would have a cost equal to half your pilot skill (rounded down). Because of how crazy fast it lets them move, only certain large ships should have access to the boost action (like the falcon or the outrider, ships renowned for their speed).

In my version, I would definitely have different movement templates for fighters and large ships.
