Ghost and firing arc.

By NeverBetTheFett, in X-Wing

Ok. I looked through the forums and can't find a good answer. If someone wants to point me to it, that would be appreciated. However my question is this:

Ghost with no shuttle docked. When it uses a turret weapon, is the special arc active, ie. does autothrusters kick in, tactician, etc?

My feeling is that the special arc with an undocked ship is ONLY for torpedoes, as the picture on the chit seems clear. That being said, how does this play for a turret?

Yes, it's an arc for Tactician, autothrusters, and any other effect that just says 'arc' without specifying.

it doesn't stop being printed on the base just because you can't shoot with it, any more than Blinded Pilot or SLAMming stops people having an arc at all.

Ok. So it's much like the primary arc but can't fire missiles and obviously not a primary shot. I played against that and an ARC 170 with R3A2. Darn aux firing arcs!

So, does that mean I could trigger fearlessness if I am in range 1 of the special arc of the ghost facing it?

Ok. So it's much like the primary arc but can't fire missiles.

No. At least, I don't quite understand the question, but I think it's no.

It's a special arc that can only be used to fire under certain cirumstances - using Torpedoes, or using the primary weapon if the Phantom is docked and the Ghost title is equipped.

It's still an arc for the purposes of anything which doesn't specify what sort of arc is being referred to.

So, does that mean I could trigger fearlessness if I am in range 1 of the special arc of the ghost facing it?

Yes.

No, but that's more because Fearlessness is Scum only and the VCX doesn't have an EPT. :P

Though if it were both of those things then yes, it would trigger.

I think he more meant 'can my fang use Fearlessness when shooting the Ghost up the rear at r1?'

And the answer is yes. Yes it can.

Or yes if you are playing against someone flying a VCX.. :D

Edit: Dang Ninja'd again.

Now that I re-read the Titles I realize that I can shoot the TLT twice with the Phantom docked. Ok, I really wanna go get my Ghost now!! X-wing really tests our reading skills. LOL

You really have to be a a lawyer. Take the collision detector (0 points) for example. It has two separate pieces of text! Therefore, you can equip it on a shuttle and if you hit debris, you won't take a crit!

Yes.

Was this in doubt somehow?
