If Manaroo assigns all his tokens at the start of combat and one of his tokens is a target lock, if the ship he passes to already has a target lock, does that ship then maintain two target locks?
Manaroo passing target lock to ship already target locked

Not unless it is equipped with Weapons Engineer. Otherwise, that ship must choose which one to keep.

This^ unless there is text in play allowing the second lock (outside of wep engineer i believe only imps have it) it's treated as if the ship target locked while already having one (ie choose 1 lock discard the other)
I will have to find it but I seem to remember seeing that you actually don't get to choose which one to keep but have to keep the one passed by Manaroo since it is the newest.
Edit: OK, couldn't find it. Must have been in a forum post, so I can't say for sure this is correct.

I remember reading that debate. I don't think a consensus was reached.
Manaroo is may assign all tokens, you do not get to choose only to send say a focus and not the target lock. if you send the target lock it replaces the current one.
How on earth could it be in question about what target lock you get.
You assigned a new target lock the old one is lost... straight forward as can be.
"Each ship can maintain only one target lock. If a ship acquires a new target lock, it must remove its previous target lock." - Page 11 of the rules.
Manroo passes all things you dont get to pick not to send the target lock, so the new one replaces the old... simple as that.

Thanks, pal. That really clears things up. Of course, as was the case in the other thread where this argument burned itself out a while back, "Acquire" and "Assign" are not the same thing.
