Asajj PartyBossk

Trying to put together something with Asajj and I have seen a few PartyBossk ideas around so I tried to do something as well. Thought and suggestions appreciated.

Asajj Ventress (49)

Lancer-class Pursuit Craft (37), Veteran Instincts (1), Dengar (3), Black Market Slicer Tools (1), Glitterstim (2), Shadow Caster (3), Gyroscopic Targeting (2)

Bossk (51)

YV-666 (35), Predator (3), “Mangler” Cannon (4), 4-LOM (1), Zuckuss (1), Latts Razzi (2), Rigged Cargo Chute (1), Engine Upgrade (4)

If you are taking Zuckuss, don't bother with Engine. The two do not work in tandem very well.

Ventress does not need more pilot skill. She works quite well at PS 6, so Veteran Instincts is a bit of a waste on her.

Also, you have dengar and Latts on the wrong ships! Latts adds little to no value to an Agility 1 ship, and with zuckuss, Bossk would really appreciate Dengar. Also spares your EPT for something like crack shot.

Ultimately though, I don't think the list will be highly competitive, since Ventress isn't a heavy hitter, and Bossk really needs high firepower support to make him work.

@blade_mercurial thanks for the good advice. What would you suggest pairing with Asajj? Fen? Zs?

I've used her with an IG88 and also a pair of fangs. I found both to be pretty effective.

I've also seen Mr Heaver flying her alongside a pair of TLT y-wings.

I'm not sure Fenn is the best choice, since he really likes some ships that are extremely threatening to take heat off him. And also with Ventress + Fenn, there's not many points left for a 3rd ship other than a z-95. Actually, I think Bossk (or any YV) might work better with him...

Latts crew works great on Bossk. Used Latts 4 times in a game, won the game with Bossk having 2HP left. Turns Bossk into a 15-16hp ship.

If you are dropping VI you should still go with adaptability. You want Asajj to shoot first with the title so hopefully Bossk is shooting against 1 less agility.

I'd be inclined to drop both Engine and Mangler and Cargo. Bossk's ability is a bonus, not something you need to plan for, and things which take actions to use play horribly with Zuckuss.

Feedback is better, Countermeasures is reasonable.

Ideally though I'd be trimming out enough to fit in a third ship. A blocker z can only help.

I Think Bossk + Fenn + 2 z-95's should work fine.

My IG + Asajj build is this:

Ventress w/ PTL, K4 droid, BMST & engine = 48

IG88C w/ PTL, advanced sensors, HLC, BMST + thrusters = 52

100

You could also use IG88B with predator for the same points. This was my initial IG, but I found him a tad too squishy because opponents inevitably go for the IG first (because its too hard to pin down Ventress). IG88C is more durable, especially with sensors + PTL. He's also immune to BMST unless you k-turn/sloop. He can even arc-dodge on occasion if you are good with the pre-dial reveal boosting (but even if he can't he's perfectly happy bumping into ships since they can't shoot him).

K4 droid is absolute gold. I wouldn't consider dropping it for IG crew (not that its a bad card) but this list is borderline light on offense, and you really need Ventress to hit as hard as possible. With K4, it means she always can modify her attacks no matter what happens, and frequently has TL + focus. Remember that K4 works even when you go over rocks, bump or otherwise would be denied actions (although I admit these are things I haven't had to worry much with Ventress).

Its 99 total points. I haven't used it since wave 9 came out but the extra point was left for rigged cargo chute or black market splicer tools. Maybe the cargo chute on Bossk and BMST on Manaroo since he has push the limit. If you put BMST on Manaroo that leaves room for feedback array on Bossk now also. I elected to go with the title on manaroo over a Z-95 more because I'm still new and not consistent with blocking and because he puts out some damage especially with glitterstim if you need to pass the focus to Bossk. The engine upgrade on Bossk is for those emergency "oh **** he's behind me and I really need to get a shot on him because I'm flying the titanic and don't have a K-turn" which is when Manaroo comes in handy. Calculation, dengar and the extra focus token to make sure all other focus rolls are hits is pretty potent. If Manaroo isn't going to be shot at I pass the focus tokens to Bossk each turn so he has 4 for combat. 1 for calculation, 1 for any other focus rolls and 1 for when that sweet one green dice needs one. I've had some success with it and its one of my favorite list to fly.
