Will this work vs Imperial Turtle lists?

Not sure if I have enough screen vs 10 or more hairy Rymerballz

It could, though I think going against Imp turtle lists you're better suited having Fire Lanes and Intel Sweep because those objectives get you points if the turtle tries to turtle. Also, while I like Advanced Gunnery for the MC30, I don't think it is worth it without proton torpedoes. Most Wanted might serve you better.

Yeah, facing turtles you really want objectives that either force them to come to you (Fire Lanes, Intel Sweep, Contested Outpost, Dangerous Territory) or enable you to punch through to them (Hyperspace Assault).

Also, I'd drop the X-wing and use the points to put H9 and APT on your MC30. 6 squadrons is plenty to lock down even large bomber wings for a couple turns if you play them right, and if you're expecting a meta heavy on the VSD castle list specifically, H9 will be your MVP. Locking down the brace absolutely every time is unspeakably good. And APT+Dodonna is just dirty.

Sorry. What do we mean by a Turtle list?

I'm assuming he's talking about opponents like those he commented on in the Canada Nationals thread, who bring the Rhymerball lists with 2-3 VSDs or 1-2 ISDs, possibly with flotilla support, and then sit back in the corner and Boosted Comms it up.

More a playstyle than the list, just the list allows the playstyle.

Intel! You need Jan Orrs! Otherwise your squads will just get tied up whilst Rhymer wreaks havoc.

As others have said, to break a turtling list you need to have objectives which give you points, so that they are forced to bring the fight to you. Fire Lanes, Contested Outpost, Intel Sweep are all great for it.

The other thing you need is the ability to position anywhere that you choose. The MC30 is great at this. The MC80 liberty is not. The MC30 can get round the side, and as Ard has suggested, with h9 or sensor teams can unless havoc on a victory. The MC80 liberty is going exactly where they want to, their front arc.

Not with this kind of screen--I'd want to build it totally differently for a Jan build. A-wings are an ablative screen, they're there to pin and mitigate, not to kill and not to live. Send them piecemeal and pin wide with them. I don't do the YT-2400 thing often, so maybe she's more needed for them, but still not worth it for just two of them--if you're investing a Jan for your YT-2400's, go all in with em.

Which kind of brings up the reason I think the YT-2400 is WAY overrated. 4 A-wings and 2 YT-2400's is 76 points. Jan, 3 X-wings, and 2 A-wings is 80 and you'll get way more mileage out of it, for the small price of having to give a modicum of thought to how you use them.

Either way though, Jan would be a liability in this list, at least the way I would fly it. Spotted 3 squadrons isn't fast enough to get out in front of my ships that are burning at average speed 3 toward the other side of the table. And out front is where I need them, to intercept those bombers while my ships hop over them.

All that said, I do agree some pinning mitigation is in order. Drop one of those YT-2400 trash trucks and take Tycho instead. :)
