Ugh. Had to make do with a dime. Am I the first?
Already lost the mobile fire arc piece
Maybe the first to admit it.
Someone will put it out in plastic soon
Yeah it's easy to lose and doesn't stay in place very well.

That's why the special tombstone (number) tokens. They keep the pointer from wandering.

How about using an Armada speed dial. It goes from 0 to 4 so why not just use 1-4. With 1 being primary arc (straight ahead) and the following arcs going clockwise, 2 is starboard 3 is rear and 4 is port.
0 can be the safety

I ended up using the ship silhouette token, it's a bit less visible than the tombstones. but that's just a personal what suits you better thing.
Edited by Andy1909I will be making myself a new one out of some leftover acrylic sheet I have... Just not immediately. I'll have to do a better job keeping track of the thing.
I just magnetized the turret on the top to represent which direction the arc is facing.
Even with the mobile arc piece, can't see it's direction given how large the shadowcaster is. So I just use a cloaking token along the side of the ship, pointing in the direction of the current arc.
And you get the make the occasional "yes, I have four defense dice when cloaked" joke.
I plan on doing the mag-mod with the turret as well. I've seen videos of that pointer flippin' and a -floppin' around. I think I will end up bumping it and lose my Mobile arc during a tournament ...and miss out on some sweet acrylic.
I will try painting a few coats of black paint on the inside of the cardboard- this may thicken it up a bit and give it some friction. Also, I have some of that flimsy adhesive-backed magnet material- this may be perfect for holding it in place. Glue a washer on the bottom of the base and just attach the magnetic material to the point-thingy token.

Ooh. How hard is it to remove the turret intact?

Just cut it off. I tried and tried and tried to break the glue, and miserably failed, destroying one of the side supports in the process. So now I have to decide whether or not I want to mock up a second side support or just leave it as the gun in the center.
Drill a hole in a guitar pick. BAM, instant replacement.
Plus, you can then play Fender vs. DeFender.

That is a good idea. Picks come in various thickness. As an ex-bass player, i never used a pick. I did have some, but never used them. Picks used by bass players are at least twice as thick as regular ones.

With that kind of statement, you're obligated to post pictures!
