Scum Stress

By General Mayhem, in X-Wing Squad Lists

I am going to use this list in my league night games. I will be facing different lists that other players may not use otherwise. So they will be really varied,

4-LOM PS 8

Veteran Instincts (1)

Outlaw Tech (2)

Advanced Sensors (3)

Mist Hunter (0)

Tractor Beam (1)

N'Dru Suhlak PS 7

Black Market Slicer Tools (1)

Lone Wolf (2)

Asajj Ventress PS 6

Push The Limit (3)

Latts Razzi (2)

Black Market Slicer Tools (1)

Rigged Cargo Chute (1)

Gyroscopic Targeting (2)

Total: 100 points

I have been using 4-LOM as a close-in jouster. With his K-Turn with the outlaw and his ability he is surprisingly effective for me. In one game he took out Zuckuss one on one and then finished of a Contracted Scout Jumpmaster.

N'Dru is my sniper. Positioned at around range 3+ of 4-LOM and Asajj, he will just swoop in and give the other player something to think about. I am considering dropping BMST for Inertial Dampeners, but I don't know right now.

Assajj is my Stress Queen. As equipped she IMO maximizes her stress giving abilities. I plan on using her and 4-LOM in tandem to maximize both their stress giving abilities I also am using debris as my obstacles obviously for their stress giving penalty.

N'dru adds nothing to the list really. You can drop him to free up some points to improve your other ships (any BMST z-95 will do, really).

Push the Limit + advanced sensors is really quite good on 4-LOM. Gives you total control of when to leave yourself stressed (only when there's an enemy in range 1) or not.

I also strongly recommend engine on Ventress. Much superior to Gyroscopic Targeting, although with Latts onboard, you might get away with it...

Points well taken. Thanks

I've been using something relatively similar, except i favor stay on target for 4Lom, while his low PS stops it from arc dodging fun it does allow any maneuver on your dial to come out red and stress you, which lets you pick your end point without worrying about not being stressed

PtL on advanced sensors otherwise to me seems redundant, except to pre maneuver barrel roll i suppose, but the your dial is bad for a maneuver to have clocked in after that, and flying like that becomes quite obvious when ive tried that in the past.

I also run Ventures at the same PS with the title so that other guns benefit from a tractor beam if she hits, my current third ship is the ps1 Protectorate, but i have been considering dropping that in favor of a Z95 at lower ps to get a bit more kit on everyone else

PTL + advanced sensors is the exact opposite of obvious. Your opponent can't possibly know for sure where your ship will end up, although he might be able to account for general direction, depending.

Also, it does a lot more than just let you barrel roll before you move. It basically gives 4-LOM the ability to control whether he ends his turn stressed or not and always have 2 actions every single turn (especially if you take outlaw tech). And be able to improve your chances of getting into range 1 of other things to throw away the stress (don't forget you can toss it on allies too if need be).

I personally prefer to go the cheaper route for 4-LOM by having Zuckuss crew, FCS, and Mist Hunter title. If I have the extra point, I'll actually add in Adrenaline Rush for that one round catching your opponent off guard with a K turn or 1 turn and negate them being red even with all of my stress from Zuckuss.
