Happy Friday - for Cubanboy

By heychadwick, in X-Wing

HAPPY FRIDAY!

I'm not sure where Cubanboy is, but I look forward to his Happy Friday threads. Hope he's doing well enough.

I couldn't make it to the game store last night, but had a friend come over. If my son wanted to play, we were going to do HotAC. If not, then we did the first mission for the campaign of the CR-90. We did the latter. I managed to pull out a lucky win as the CR-90. There was one round his dice were crap and I managed to live to turn 6 with 2 hull on both sections! No shields on the rear.

You know if you google Cinnabon there is one by you.......

Well....only if you count jumping on the highway and zipping down to the mall. Is 15 min. drive considered "near" me?

if you exercise before, it doesn't feel as bad...

That's the problem. I can't exercise with the Boot on! I'm still recovering from surgery, so no exercising for me now. I've really got to watch what I eat or I blow up. I'm not very mobile and not burning a lot of calories.

i cant exercise for the sheer fact that i got sick of it while in the military lol. That and the stupid "situps" they call what they make us do really f'd up my lower back. I had the opposite problem most people do: if they get lazy, they get fat. Nah, i got skinny and frail lol. I had to workout like 1-2hrs a day 5-6 days a week to pass my PT tests. Im sick of it :P

Part of me misses the sheer strength i had but i rarely ever need to lift more than 50lbs and i can pick that up with no problem so i dont care lol. Its amazing how fast you can lose all that work...i could bench around 300 topped off (as in, i could do 1 rep and i didnt feel comfortable doing another) but when i stopped working out something like 3-4 months later i started to struggle doing 20 pushups...fml lol. Funny thing is i still looked like a rail lol, 6'2" 170lbs (well, im 185 now, slowly getting a gut)

However i eat rather healthy, so least i got that going for me lol. Sweets dont like my teeth even though i have no dental issues so i avoid them lol. **** sensitive teeth. my snack of choice is just carrots lol.

kinda curious how packed my flgs will be tonight. Usually the warmahordes guys take up half the tables, but its force friday so anything can happen.

I'm not playing X-Wing this weekend, but I am part of the commentary team for our Hanger Bay tournament that we'll be streaming live on Facebook and Twitch. I'm excited and nervous about this! :)

I played the CR-90 campaign once. It was a blast! I found the first and last missions seemed unwinnable by the empire, but the middle missions seemed unwinnable by the rebels. Curious to hear your experiences on the rest!

Well Universal Studios Orlando is only about 2 hours away from me and there's a Cinnabon on the way in. Oh wait that was last week.

Happy Friday everyone.

Got a tournament tommorw! :D bringing Kenkirk and Whipser. First time flying somthing that is not a crackshot swarm in awhile.

my flgs is about the only thing i got in driving distance lol. Drawbacks of living in nebraska, even in the capitol theres nothing to do.

Though i did find a five guys on the other side of town i never knew was there...lol

Running my first event tomorrow with a friend, only a casual wave IX release party but still nervey as heck!

...and once again i find out about a tournament too late.

Apparently theres some "pre-worlds" or something like that event in Omaha on the 2nd. Thats an hour or so away from me lol.

Ughh why do i never learn of these things with enough time to sign up...

To make things even more annoying, this is a 4day weekend for me where i had NOTHING planned. Fml lol

I overdosed on beef brisket last night. I gained three pounds and I'm still in a food coma!

Well, I started a whole thread on it over here:

I want to collect thoughts and feedback on the various missions. I tried the first one. Rebels barely won.
