I was wondering when you assign a tractor beam token to a small based ship, can you boost/barrel roll them even if they wouldn't complete the manoeuvre, i.e they would hit another ship?

I ask as the other day I tractored one ship onto a rock with Mist Hunter and then tractored a second with Shadowcaster, I wanted to barrel roll the second ship onto the same obstacle as the first but I was a couple of mil out of completing the roll. I assume this means I can't do it at all and have to boost or roll the other way?

The only variation to the rules for boosting/BRing with TB tokens is that you can go over an obstacle. Other ships still prevent the movement.
