No news is bad news?

I hope the missing SKU is just a single card that reads, "there will never be a Gunboat".

I have that much disposable income, and even this crazy rush of product (as I play Armada and Imperial Assault too) is a bit overwhelming right now. I alway like it when there's a bit of a lull between things so.. you know... I can actually play with my toys without everyone going on and on about what's coming three or more months from now.

Yeah I can afford to go all in and get everything from each wave from both X-wing and Armada, but it's shockingly hard to justify spending it on X-wing's apparently accelerated release schedule lately. Wave 9 is the first wave I haven't picked up my usual "at least one of everything" order. I still haven't even had time to use either of the /sf or ARC I did pick up, and we're already on the brink of HotR coming out, followed shortly thereafter by Wave 10 (which will probably drop before I even get a Protectorate to the table).

This year has already been a bit mad in terms of releases. More are hardly needed.

To be fair, aside from the fact that Wave 9 was released last week, FFG has no obligation to release or announce anything on Force Friday. The only Star Wars articles that was posted on September 30th last year was a preview for the Rogues and Villains ships in Star Wars Armada and a preview of the Hired Guns character expansion for Imperial Assault. And neither of those seemed like they were released to mark Force Friday.

The forum community self-created the supposed Force Friday release/announcement.

Force Friday was 1-Sep last year, not the 30th. It lead to the midnight announcement of the new core set.

We just had Wave 9 release, HotR is literally on the "any day now" countdown, and Wave 10 is due in just a couple of months. Exactly how much is enough that you need to bemoan the lack of midnight news on an arbitrary day like "Force Friday" about further releases?

Holy crap, I wish I had that much disposable income that 3 releases in as many months wasn't enough.

Same thing happened last year. Ton of releases all clumped together.

If so, then I stand corrected.

Carry on.

Sept. 4th actually was Force Friday last year but here is the announcement that went up at midnight then.

Too early to be relieved just yet.

From my point of view I can see why we should all be happy, wave 9 just released and wave 10 was announced.

But as a scum player, rebels and imperial players still have something we dont, scum epic ships.

So everyday theres no scum epic news its bad news

I hope the missing SKU is just a single card that reads, "there will never be a Gunboat".

If it is followed by "Hah, fooled you, the next slot for non-onscreen material is reserved!"

I don't like it much, but the demand is clear and as many releases have shown the people that don't neccessarily like a ship often will often buy it anyways when it has good upgrades or is fun to fly (or both, K-Wing says hi!).

WH40k ? ... Epic troll FFG :)

I know, right?

Their 'Force Friday' announcement is for a brand they have lost the license for?! Is this some kind of way to soften the blow...?

And on the flip side it is a pilot card. pilot named "Cas U'al veteran". Comes with a gunboat token.
