How to play the prophet?

By Kylephelps757, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Anyone here like the prophet? He seems underrated as a healer. He can heal without restrictions. And with good coordination he seems like he could be very effective. Is he better with a melee weapon? Or does it matter?

I think you might have meant efficient, or possibly effective?

Anyway, I like the prophet. I most recently played as Sahla, and while I had a melee weapon for most of the game, the shop draws eventually gave me a rune. Something wonderful about the prophet is that none of his skills cost an action, so you can take advantage of that pretty well.

The Prophet has a big problem : his high fatigue cost.

If you're going to play it, you need to have a lot of stamina, including items that give you some more to be effective.

And a smaller problem: he can't remove conditions. But combined with the right hero or in a party with 2 healers, he's cool.

And with good coordination he seems like he could be very effeminate.

Best auto-correct ever! All I can picture now is a group of people gathered around the prophet with glittery scarves and pink handbags trying to make him look FABULOUS!

I think Victory Foretold is an interesting skill.

Cast the token on soemone with low health

finish turn

use the skill when they are finishing off a monster and get 3 health on top of the initial 1 health and stamina.

Prophet also seems pretty good at supporting an objective runner who goes ahaed
