Sabotuer. My thought is pair Thane with some high output ships that roll lots of dice and have good pilot skill. Then Thane can trigger saboteur when they get shot at. Otherwise Thane gets targeted and is a much tougher Biggs essentially. Anybody try it?
Has anyone tried this on Thane?
Saboteur still sux
Fair point. I'm not a fan of random he just keeps his action economy this way. Just a thought.
I can understand trying to make something work. Hell I flew 3 scyks last night, but still saboteur is probably top 3 worst upgrade card.
Always nice try something different in a fun game, but afterwards you realize there is just so many better options.
Ahh the good ol days when we use to run saboteur, or merc co pilot on Kath. The good ol days
Edited by Krynn007If this spawns any thane + lando threads I will KALIMA!!! the OP's heart to replace my own (which will have given out)
But yeah, anything ACTION relayed is worth keeping an eye on (unless it sucks)
Fickle you always end up here and having an issue with my bizarre plans... Sorry to keep almost killing you.
You owe me so much in medical bills...
Read at your own risk. Sad thing is I like a lot of your designs... We just have different play styles. Heck we ever get to go for a game you'd probably beat me for sure, but you might be amused.
if I live through a game, you mean
I'm not that bad....
The new Jyn crew isn't bad, but I'd usually trigger it before combat anyways. So that's a bit of a problem - taking an action header card that's not good enough to use initially? Well, R7-T1 sure falls into that category, but that does require arc. It's sorta worth trying, I suppose?
It's a bit vanilla, but Ventral Thrusters is probably my favorite option. Shift into position when someone fires and you're ready to roll.
It works on any ARC,but I love the combo of R5-D8 and C-3PO!
R5-D8:
Action: Roll 1 defense die.
On an evade or focus result, discard 1 of your facedown Damage cards.
C-3PO:
Once per round, before you roll 1 or more defense dice, you may guess aloud a number of evade results. If you roll that many evade results (before modifying dice), add 1 evade result.

My first try with the ARC was with Thane and R7-T1; didn't get much of a read because my list sucked and I flew horribly, but it was fun and interesting. I'd try it again.
Had a try with R7-T1, Vectored Thrusters and Push The Limit - I saw someone suggest Push The Limit and thought I'd plagiarise.
The results were satisfying. Bramm was shot quite thoroughly, but Thane 'saw' the shot.
"And now the Inquisitor will.....wait...where the bloody hell did he go!?!?!"
Boosts out of the Inquisitor's arc, target locks him and then barrel rolls into range one.
