I think numbers at Worlds in a month will be the tall tale.

We already know the numbers as the event is sold out.

I've heard the number 100 thrown around

The Corellian Campaign shows a great deal of life left in the game.

But to be fair how many large ships can they actually release?

Edit note - Will they go prequel route?.....Trade federation....etc

Small ships in X wing seem much greater in sheer number of possible releases.

Constant release of new movies and Rebels TV show for next 5 years or so will give a pretty steady flow of ships for x wing. Large ships are a bit rarer.... maybe they will have some epic capital ship space battles in movies for Armada material.

How long did it take for X-wing to surpass Warhammer 40,000? Just because it is not as big as X-wing now and you can't find tournaments/leauge/OP at every (non-exclusive) table top game store doesn't mean it is dead.

Now Warhammer Conquest, that game is dead. Just like the Star Trek CCG.

Not when it comes to movie releases. As long as Disney is continuing to make movies X-wing will have new ships for the game.

I think the movies better provide for X Wing than Armada. So I'd expect more legends material than you've seen in X Wing. That being said, think small and medium base ships and not hulking Goliaths. Also I'd expect more Campaigns because of the lack of officially canon material.

Has anyone ever thought that FFG may stop producing new content? I mean after a certain amount of time/waves for a game? Not that I am all for 20 waves, but really they have to stop at some point right?

For me at least I think I will stop buying before FFG stops producing. Not a huge EU guy, so as things start to be introduced that I don't find exciting I'll pass. Our of it gets to a point such as sabins tie. Cause man to me that thing is the game jumping the shark.

My FLGS sold out all of the new wave they got in despite there never being a game played in the store or a tournament in the store.

We only have 3 dedicated players including me at my local store's league night, but the game itself sells well there.

Speaking of which, how does one go about changing that? Never looked into it, and I need something that catches my udder virility/rebellious tendencies

Also, I agree with Schmitty (who's opinion was actually taken from the mouths of FFG). If a game is the 3rd best selling of its kind, it isn't dead. Unless it's kind is just dead in general.

And Boardgame Geek has it rated somewhere in the top five of all strategy games
