Is Heroes of the Resistance released tomorrow?

By TgLoki, in X-Wing

Just noticed something. Wave 9 took 9 weeks from On the Boat to in stores. If HotR arrives on October 27th, that'll be ten weeks. There are 9 weeks from now until Rogue One releases. FFG has to be doing everything in its power to make sure U-wings and Strikers at least arrive before the movie comes out.

So my bold prediction: Rogue One stuff goes on boat this week.

FFG Event Center just announced October 27th as the release date for this in our local facebook page.

*Insert scum boat pilot card with hilarious ability*

I need to remember to save that photo next time it appears.

OK, changed again and now it's "shipping now" so it should be soon. That only took close to 11 weeks from when it was first put "on the boat"

As far as I can tell it was put on the boat on Aug 19th. That was 8 weeks ago, not 11.

OK, just recounted and must have gotten off when switching months somehow. OOPS :(

Or they can hire a faster boat!

Nevermind, I missed the post, has no one started the discussion about how this will alter the World's Meta... :D

Why would they? It's arriving too late to do so.

Won't be legal for worlds but will be for regionals season.

Well, that boat is over due or the web site just hasn't been updated. Whomever is in charge of that may be out for a few days, did too many barrel rolls over the weekend.

Yep, long Columbus day weekend. Back at work now and everything updated.

Why will it not be legal for Worlds if it is released World-wide on the same date, at least a week before the event?

Why will it not be legal for Worlds if it is released World-wide on the same date, at least a week before the event?

Because FFG OP themselves said that the cooling off period is not 1 Week.

It is 11 Days.

And Quote:

For Relaxed and Formal events, all product is legal in North America upon the product’s official release. For Premier events, all product is legal in North America 11 days—typically the second Monday—after the product’s official release. Official dates will be updated on the Product Legality page on our website (https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/op/legality/). Players outside North America should check with their organizer to determine which products are tournament legal.

Worlds, is, of course, a Premier event.

The latest tournament rules state that a product has to be released 11 days prior to an event for it to be legal at that event. Worlds start on Nov 2nd this year, so if HotR is released on the 27th it will only be 6 days.

For Premier events, all product is legal in North America 11 days—typically the second Monday—after the product’s official release.

Thanks I missed the 11 day, I was thinking 7.
