Once per round, when you lose a shield token, you may perform a primary weapon attack.

Electronic Baffle (1)

barrel role into range of a shot. take a target lock with PTL. get rid of the stress with EB. lose a shield and take a shoot ..... before combat has started?

Absolutely.

That's part of her charm...

"It's better to burn out, than to fade away..."

And boy, if you use her like that, with AGI 2 and no Evade Action, she will burn out in a blaze of Glory.

Yes.

Rage is better though. Works on all your shots.

While on the topic of Rage, I could use some clarification. Card says "Until the end of the round, when attacking, you may reroll up to 3 attack dice." If you're attacking twice with Quickdraw, will that allow you to reroll up to 3 attack dice per attack or 3 total between both attacks? I'm inclined to believe the first one of those because I don't recall ever seeing amount of dice spread across a round in any rules.

Up to 3 per attack. Same wording as Predator or Dengar crew.

Something to remember is that QuickDraw has a Pilot Skill of 9. So most other ships have already activated and tokened up, i.e. already have their focus and evades. Of course you could always used Enhanced Scopes and reduce your PS to 0 during activation only. That ensures you moved first and could then fire at others before their actions.

Just a reminder since you used your action for Barrel Roll and PTL for target lock you will have an unmodified attack during the Attack Phase.

Until someone takes her shields out the turn before. Then you're left with the same squishy ship. Thanks FFG.

If you did that, you wouldn't have Baffles and the whole thing falls apart.

Even against lower PS pilots this (the Rage version, anyway) is pretty potent, for the simple reason that you're chucking two well-modified 3 die attacks at them.

How do you get two well modified 3 die attacks?

If in the front arc wouldn't that be one modified and one unmodified 3 die attacks?

Rage. Rerolls on all attacks that round. Focus for one of them, two focus if you have a friendly Fleet Officer. Strictly you could get 4 well modified attacks - it's unlikely, but I've done it,. and it's VERY satisfying when it works out...

No Barrel Roll though.

Here is another QuickDraw question.

Was watching a YouTube video with PTL baffle.

The player flew onto debris, baffled the stress then took his two actions then attacked. Isn't the attack instant and once you lose the shield, you cannot action then attack?

Depends.

He could have done:

Debris > Baffle Stress > choose not to attack > PTL > Baffle PTL stress > attack - QD's ability is optional so you could wait til after you've done your actions and trigger it off the second stress.

If what he did was Debris > baffle stress > PTL > stress (not baffled) > attack, then yeah, he misunderstood the rules or cheated.
