Hangar Bay List(s)

By CubsFanSean23, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Here's my list 1 that I want to run:

IG88-B (50) - Aggressor

Crack Shot (1), Fire Control System (2), Heavy Laser Cannon (7), Glitterstim (2), Autothrusters (2)

Asajj Ventress (50) - Lancer-class Pursuit Craft

Push The Limit (3), Latts Razzi (2), Black Market Slicer Tools (1), Shadow Caster (3), Engine Upgrade (4)

Thoughts on a good list 2.....

I'd pull Latts and Slicer tools for Dengar. Making your red dice count is important. Also, if you never need to take a target lock, you can just manually take an evade token that will work against stressed or non-stressed targets.

As for list two, what ships or pilots do you want to run?

You first list is a bit weak to UUBus, since this team is really about control and crushing Imperial aces, but can succumb to heavy damage focus fire, so you might consider an Imperial list that is good against stuff with lots of meat like that. Maybe something with x7 Defenders or Imperials with Autothrusters.

I like flying aces, still newer to defenders, what about something like.....

Vessery with VI, twin ion and x7

Inquisitor ptl, autothrusters and tie v1

and

???? 34 points to work with

Darth Vader (29)

Adaptability (0)

Advanced Targeting Computer (1)

Engine Upgrade (4)

TIE/x1 (0)

Colonel Vessery (35)

Veteran Instincts (1)

TIE/x7 (-2)

The Inquisitor (25)

Push the Limit (3)

Autothrusters (2)

TIE/v1 (1)

Total: 99

Still newer to x wing, been playing about 6 months, vader and adaptability, how would i use the decrease or how/when, and is there another defender that might work over vader......

So you put Adaptability on Vader and it lets you flip the card to one side or the other depending on whether you want to increase his pilot skill by one or decrease it by one, but you place him as though he were a PS9, and you don't choose until after he's placed but before the game starts.

After you place Vader at PS9, you'll then decide if you want to be PS10 or PS8. If your opponent has no PS9 or higher ships, you become a PS8 so you can move interchangeably with Inquisitor and Vessery. If they have someone like Dengar or Soontir, you become a PS10 so that you can beat them on pilot skill. Meanwhile, you're another Target Lock friendly ship for Vessery to be buds with.

You can easily put another x7 defender in there, but then you don't really have any answers to PS9 Soontir or PS9 Whisper, which is why I would personally try to get a PS10 ship in the mix.

Makes sense.....so on a build with Soontir/Whisper, would I want to choose my "brobots" right but I like the vader adaptability.....
