Because asteroids eventually get boring.
New Obstacle
Armada's gettin' Dust Clouds with the Corellian Conflict box...
My bad. Supposed to go here:

Rancor Poodoo Tokens are easy to make. I made 2 this morning.
I would like there to be more options, but you have to make each option varied enough o make it a different option.
I would love it if you could take 0-1 options like
Capital Ship debris - automatically take a hit, Wayward Satellite - obstacle divided into three sections with crit, hit, eyeball. moves 1 in that direction at the start of each full turn. etc etc.
I suck at making up new crap, I think that's why I like Odnans (Spelling check definitely needed) custom card thread.
Some ships can take obstacles out of the game, like anything that ignores stress and uses debris fields. Plus it could be a way FFG sells more big ships.
Go play something else for a while if you are bored

Wow, who woke up all cranky this morning. No one said anything about being bored, just a discussion about adding new obstacles. I am surprised you have never posted anything like this since wave 2 came out. i mean why even need new ships right??? Anyone not happy with anything other than a TIE or an X Wing is breaking the game.
There's always the debris obstacles which are tournament legal.
Otherwise I liked the ion clouds in HotAC. If I remember correctly on a crit result you get an ion token and those things are huge.

I haven't played HotAC yet, but I did see those tokens. They're crazy! If you're thinking of new debris, just look at the red tokens.
Stress=Debris
Ion=Ion Cloud
Tractor=Gravity Well/black hole?
Crit=Asteroid? Perhaps there could be a new, more damaging thing.
I played a game with moving asteroids a while back, and that was super fun! The rocks flew from left to right, and when one flew off of the table I placed back on the other side to go across the board again. I did d3 movement. 1-2=1 straight 3-4=2 straight, 5-6= 3 straight
